The Southern Port Hotel was great! It was centrally located within Harbour Breton. Walking distance from the stadium, foodland, hospital, Robin's, and the dollar store.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were well maintained and clean. The television in the room had a Roku, so it was easy to access our own Netflix or other streaming services.

The restaurant on site was good! It was a Greco and a pub style place. Overall, it was a wonderful home base during our adventures on the Connaigre Peninsula.

We spent one night here in May, 2017. At first I thought it would be a small town hotel with not so great services. I was mistaken! The hotel has been recently renovated and it is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and bright. The bathroom was clean and large. The room was large enough for 4 adults. The beds were AMAZING! Maybe the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! We ate in the restaurant for supper and the food was delicious - homemade style. The complimentary breakfast was fine with toast, instant oatmeal, tea, coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, etc. I would have liked to have had fruit and yoghurt though. But all in all it was a very comfortable night! Definitely a great place to stay!

We stayed in the blue Chalet and it was great. Everything is there that you would need. even had sugar and Tim Horton coffee! very comfortable beds, good size living room-Kitchen setup.|Free WiFi worked great and staff was ever so nice. Couldn't ask for better. The owners Bill and Tracie went out of their way to help us with everything. We had one dinner at the restaurant and the food was very tasty. One night, Tracie cooked us Lobster and what a meal that was.|thanks for 5 perfect nights.

My family and I visited Harbour Breton without hotel reservations and did not know what to expect in the way of accommodation. What a treat to find this hotel! The room, with two queens, was clean and comfortable and my daughter and her family stayed in one of the three new chalets, which was spotless, and looked as if they were the first to stay there. Unfortunately we only had one night there, but are planning a longer trip next summer. The in house restaurant and pizza shop was also utilized by us, and we were all pleased with our choice of meals. We will see you again! Oh yes, they're smoke free, which is very important to us.

Positive: The hotel was clean, accessible and in a good spot in the community. The rooms were nice, and also very clean.. Negative: Although this is not their fault, due to COVID they cancelled their breakfast and instead gave a juice, a muffin and a granola bar to each person staying there. There was coffee available in the morning but that was not clearly stated. The problem is though that there is no where else in town to get breakfast (yet!). It was unexpected..

Four of us recently spent four wonderful nights in a chalet at the Southern Port Hotel where we had the chance to explore all the communities in the area. Bill and Tracie couldn't do enough for us to make us welcome at their accomodations. The chalets were impeccable and spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds! We would return to Harbour Breton in a heartbeat! Thanks for a great holiday, Bill and Tracie!

There was a rat in the cabin. When I confronted the owner about it he proceeded to yell at me and call me a liar. Worst hotel owner I've ever seen. Rooms were cleaned once in 8 days. Will not be back
