If I could give them 10 stars, I would. As a freelancer, my laptop is literally my livelihood and the means to fulfill my commitments to my colleagues. Yesterday, my keyboard tanked and I was concerned. My call was answered in minutes, the team member I spoke to was fantastic and then put me through to their manager. What a refreshing surprise - he answered immediately. Dallas is an exceptional and personable professional, delivering not only 15 years of experience but possessing a PhD in a lost art: Exceptional Customer Service and Communication. I don't live near this location, but they have themselves a loyal client for as long as they are open for business.

I came in today (Nov 18th @ 4pm) to return my new MSI Portable laptop monitor which I purchased last Wednesday, Nov 13th for about $191. I came up to the desk where I asked initially about all the desktop computers that were loaded up in the store, and asked them if these are already apart of the black Friday sale. He instantly replied "no, we just like keeping boxes everywhere" in a really belittling tone while looking at his computer.

I couldn't believe this was how the service team greeted me after I was just trying to inquire politely about the sale. I looked at him (larger man with a goatee), without saying a word, where he then apologized begrudgingly. Moving on, I wasn't super happy to be back at the store less than a week later because my portable monitor didn't turn on and it was all grey and flickering. Could not see any visible cracking but when turned on, I agreed with him that it did look like there was a point of impact damage. The thing is, it NEVER left my desk, I transported it (inside the box) from the store, to my truck, to my office. I mean I get it, I really do, people will lie and say whatever, but I purchased it last week, used it once, and came back this month bday morning to a screen that didn't work. The screen did not move.

I understand that physical damage isn't covered, no RMA warranty would, but I've been using Memory Express for all my computer needs for both my gaming laptop, gaming pc, gaming monitors and accessories, and I've just never been treated and dismissed so bluntly. I asked him what I could do or if there was any options, and he told me "scrap bin". I quietly packaged up my screen and left. I honestly have never felt more defeated in my life - I got a whopping 1/5 days of use for this screen with a sarcastic and humiliating customer service experience. I am honestly just so shocked at this point - I can't even go inside to see my wife because I'm just so mentally upset by this whole scenario.

This review will probably just get tossed to the side but I am just warning all buyers of any portable laptop screen, plug it in and try it before leaving the store.

I've been getting my gaming pc parts and gaming laptops from Memory Express (all 3 Calgary locations) for over a decade, they're always the best place around for anything computer related. The staff at all locations know their stuff, pricing is always good (with price matching), return policy is great, and they stock up good brands/quality parts. Nothing beats Memory Express.

I usually come to the NW location over the years, unless the parts are not in stock then I check other locations. Just wanted to leave a good review for the NW location as well.

These guys deserve all the 5 star reviews they are getting. I was buying my first gaming pc, and was a little intimidated with the whole process but the reps at the store were super friendly and helpful with all of my questions. Definitely recommend them the whole staff is fantastic

Just went to go buy a laptop on Boxing Day. Get to the counter, ready to pay. The salesperson tells me if I don’t buy the warranty the laptop will break no matter what and be useless if I don’t buy the warranty and the factory warranty will cover 1 year and if it breaks will be replaced with a refurbished model. All of this was so negative about the purchase I thanked him and left without buying anything. He literally talked me out of it. So weird

Went in to discuss options for a pc, was helped by Austen and left extremely confident and happy. We felt comfortable enough to come back and buy! He explained warranties and parts in an understandable way and never made us feel dumb for asking. Cant recommend this location enough, thanks Austen!
