On May 6th, I went into the registry to change my driver license, health card and license plate from BC to AB. Upon entering, there were 3 female employees behind their desk and no customers being served. I still had to stand there for 5 minutes and wait before I was served. I could not understand that. Once I finally got served, the employee at the middle wicket did not want to serve me because she felt my situation was complicated. I did finally get my transaction completed but it was a poor first impression. Seems to be the norm in Bonnyville.

Terrible phone etiquette. The 2 women I spoke to today were not friendly or helpful at all. I tried to ask for an out of province vehicle inspection over the phone and was immediately given the wrong information, they do not put expiry dates on the inspection paper, the paper last up to 6 months & my favourite one, they do not expire. Anyway not only were they rude but the lady at the front desk said it was good for a year. I’d rather goto the cold lake registry. Bonnyville registry has always been the worst for everything. The building is nice so I’ll give that a 1 star.

If it was possible to rate 0 i would. all staff at the desks were kind, however the driving instructor is completely and blatantly ignorant. Purposely fails you on things you execute and paid very close attention to because she is extremely moody and rude. if you can RUN from this place and go ANYWHERE else. I submitted a complaint within their company as well but i just want to warn anyone thinking of going here for any type of driving examination. I do not owe respect to her when I was not treated with it from the second she met me, beware.

My examiner, Jody, is very kind and professional. I’m so anxious during the road test but she made me feel comfortable, that’s why I performed it well. Keep up the good work Jody!

The front office staffers appear friendly, but I’m not sure Bonyville registry is ready for road test. They have a learner (new tester/instructor) conduct road test with a supervisor in the vehicle while the test is been conducted, who the tester is definitely trying to please at the detriment of the student. Why use an actual student to ascertain the competency of the registry road tester? feels like using an actual live human for anatomy lessons in a medical school. It is not the best place for a road test in my opinion at least not right now, neither is it best practice. They can do better.

The ladies are absolutely wonderful! Friendly, and helpful. There wasn't a long line up, and their office was very clean.
