Been a big fan of ME since there was one store in Calgary- basically the late 90s or so. Over time it's gotten super big- maybe too big for their own good. It lost a little of that personalized service feel (one of the owners used to help me carry my stuff out) but the prices have been hard to beat and their price match is solid. The NE store has been widely touted as "the" one to go to and my recent and past experiences there support this.

Recently I had some real challenges with a laptop I'd bought there about a year and a half ago and the problem was extremely intermittent. I work out of town 50% of the time so it was hard to get it in and leave it with them long enough to figure out the issue.

I had the Improved Product Replacement on the product but as I continued to try and get the problem to replicate itself in front of their tech guys it wouldn't cooperate. My aggravation increased but finally I was able to get it to do "the thing" and their support helped get the issue resolved. The manager was very understanding and the tech staff in the back very knowledgeable. I've been around computers a long time though I'm no expert- but all of us agreed we'd never seen anything like it.

After all that we were able to replace the lemon and it's been a breath of fresh air to have something reliable. It's unfortunate it had to take so long but at the same time I acknowledge that you can't just give away free laptops- especially in the gaming price range.

On the plus side my interaction with the folks on the tech side reminded me that there's a great degree of technical competence back there.

This location is by far the best in Calgary, in my experience. I've brought my computer in a couple times over the years and I've never experienced anything but the best. IPR warranty has saved my ass too many times to count and highly recommend it. I'll share the story here.

Brought my computer in before I went away for 10 days, which actually worked out perfectly. At first, they found a CPU issue, so they replaced my i9 13900k at no charge (IPR).
Next they found an issue with the case, once again replaced and upgraded my case, no charge (IPR).
After that, at my request, Mark did additional tests and found another issue. Using a different set of PSU cables, we found the cables were not the issue, the only remaining part could be the motherboard, so they tested a new motherboard, with no issues. They then replaced, and upgraded, my motherboard at no charge (again, IPR.)
The amount of labour I'm sure ran over 8-10 hours over the course of this while process, which alone would have cost a decent amount. Let alone the parts.

TL:DR - This location goes above and beyond for it's customers. And when you have IPR the way i did (Literally my entire system is IPR'd), it pays for itself, in this case it paid for itself twice over in one sitting, not to mention the last time I had an issue they replaced a part as well.

My technician was Markham (I hope I'm spelling that correctly!) and he was beyond helpful and understanding. Always took my calls if he was available and gave me every update I could ever want. The entire service team deserves praise, including the manager Damian who approves all these upgrades/changes/etc.

Thank you Memory Express NE. You continue to be my place of choice, even though it's twice as far as a closer location simply because you go above and beyond for me each and every time. I appreciate all of you.

I have been a customer since 2000. Never bought a computer else where. I have helped friends and family buy from Memory Express and they are always happy too.

Bought a laptop in March and was having issues with the charger port. Because I live out of town I asked the service team if it was possible for a quick turn around to save me a trip back.

Luke is fantastic and had it ready to go within 2 hours. Plus the front desk team who checked it in were awesome too.

As a side note I'm dealing with cancer and gaming is keeping me going and positive. So I can't thank Memory Express enough for the quality service.

Best warranty in the business. Would never buy a computer without and always go for the 4 years. Thanks Memory Express you guys are the very best.

Went in to submit my pc for evaluation with an assumed hardware issue and left with a non-solution.

Prior to visiting I did a factory reset and replaced quite a few parts, and when I got my PC back they said there was "no hardware problems detected" and they recommended I do the two exact things I had already tried.

I was quite upset to have spent 50 something dollars and waited 4 days just to be told what I searched up online BEFORE I even visited.

I had an excellent experience at Memory Express, specifically with David. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and helped me build out a pc suitable for my current and future needs. I look forward to returning for my build later this week!

I used to love this place and the work they do. But waiting 3 months for a repair is ridiculous! I called multiple times and was told the person on the phone can’t help me but the technician would call me on Sunday… a month later no one had called and we called back multiple times only to be told the same thing … the tech would call us on Sunday… which never happened. This is absolutely the worst service I have ever encountered… a complete lack of communication, professionalism a courtesy… if you say you’re going to do something do it!! I will go out of my way to use alternate companies from now on.. doesn’t matter if it costs me double, this experience has ruined my impression of memory express and will no longer refer people to this company… in fact I will actively discourage them now. Wish I could give zero stars as that’s the level of service we have received these last 3 months!

I've been getting my gaming pc parts and gaming laptops from Memory Express (all 3 Calgary locations) for over a decade, they're always the best place around for anything computer related. The staff at all locations know their stuff, pricing is always good (with price matching), return policy is great, and they stock up good brands/quality parts. Nothing beats Memory Express.

Today I went to the NE location and bought all the parts for a new gaming pc upgrade. Service is great as always, the staff were friendly. Danny Ly was very patient, knowledgeable and recommended some good alternatives to parts I wanted for my build. Ask for Danny if you have any questions or need some recommendations for your computer needs/budget!

Went in to check out parts for a new PC build. Justin was able to review and recommend what else I needed. Went above and beyond. A few parts were out of stock, but got a call a hour later that an order was cancelled and it is available. Was able to get everything I needed and build a PC within a few hours.
