Recently visited Yellowknife and had the pleasure of taking the East Arm Fishing package.
Chris was an excellent host and my partner and I caught lots of lake trout. The beach shore lunch was amazing. Jennifer and I highly recommend Trailblazer Tours. It was a once in a lifetime trip!

Had an amazing time on the Snowmobile Tour! The route and trails Ian brought us on were gorgeous, fun, yet simple enough for beginners like myself. Nadine's hospitality was top notch too, and made us feel like we were visiting family instead of hiring a tour operator. Would recommend 100%!

Our one hour snowmobile tour exceeded our expectations. It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed riding across the open lake and through the trails. Chris, our tour guide, checked in many times to make sure we were okay during the ride. Nadine picked us up from our hotel, and was so hospitable and knowledgeable sharing lots of information and recommendations with us. Everything was very organized, and the staff were so thoughtful. I can’t recommend this company enough! This was by far our favourite excursion of our entire trip.

Such a wonderful experience with the whole Trailblazer tour team! Nadine was so kind and very responsive communicator. The snow mobile guide was also very experienced and made sure that my dad and I were safe the whole time. He shared pictures that he took of the auroras too! Highly recommend to anyone!

I would give 10 stars if I could! We are local Yellowknifers but had family from out of town visit so we booked a day fishing trip with Ian. Superb communication, service and experience. He kept us safe, helped us catch enormous fish all day and cooked us a lovely shore lunch. I would not hesitate to book again!

Nadine was a wonderful host. She went above and beyond making our stay so much fun. If you are looking for an authentic experience, with personal attention, and great staff, TrailBlazer Tours is you best pick. It's very much a one-on-one experience here. No bus loads, no herding people like cattle. When we asked for a ride on the ice road it was in Nadine's car, driven by her neighbour Chris. The dogsledding was just us with a driver named Winter and a team of dogs at a family run kennel, the snowmobiling was just us and a guide named Sheldon. We left feeling like we had made friends, connected with the people of the north and all around had a better understanding of northern living. Great experience. Highly recomended.

Due to both us and Nadine being on vacation , there was some miscommunication about the date lol

Everyone makes mistakes , and these folks certainly went the extra mile to make things right on short notice !!!

Within half an hour , Nadine “ made it happen “ and we could not have been more pleased !!!

They obviously care about what they do, and are Good people .

Curtis was an amazing guide and companion , the fishing was great, and shore lunch was delicious .

We ( I ) missed a couple of big ones ….. they are out there, and they will put you on them . Can’t wait to go again !

We did the 4 hour skidoo and ice fishing tour one day and hired the ice hut the following. Both experiences were excellent with hire clothing top quality. Their ice hut couldn’t be in a better place on the lake, away from lights with a tree island backdrop and very well equipped (heater lights etc). After a wonderful snow shoe walk in the afternoon we drove back to town for dinner then back out to watch the majestic Northern lights filling the sky until 3am. We were 2 adult couples from Australia and rated these the best experiences on our 3 week Canadian tour. I Researched Yellowknife tour groups for hours and only found them via referral as less coverage than bigger operators. It’s a family business with Nadine, Ian and Chris all wonderful people. Having a personal well stocked, heated hut on ice lake is by far the best way to watch the Northern Lights! The photos below were taken from a hand held iPhone.
