It has been a pleasure working with FBYR. We, as Hindu Food Bank, donate regularly to FBYR. They bring their truck to pick up the food items. We arrange the pickup with CJ and Alex who are very responsive.
Special mention to Claude, who comes with the truck to ensure proper pickup and transport to the Foodbank. We were amazed at his sorting ability at the time of pickup so that the storage at the food bank is easier. Nice to be dealing with a responsible and responsive individual such as Claude.
Hindu Food Bank looks forward to working with the FBYR team in future.

I had a great experience at the food bank, and I want to especially thank Claude, the supervisor. He was incredibly helpful, and friendly. His dedication and kindness truly made a difference. The food bank is lucky to have someone like him on their team. Highly recommend this place, especially if you get the chance to work with Claude!

The entire operation is well-organized and runs smoothly thanks to the amazing team, especially Claude, the warehouse coordinator. Claude’s leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to the cause truly stand out. He made sure every volunteer felt welcomed and valued, while also keeping everything running efficiently. To start off, I think its great that individuals in the community are able to access the foodbank to gain access to materials they are in need of. However, as a volunteer worker, I was treated very
poorly and its especially embarrassing considering that it would be assumed that the staff would have more empathy considering the work they do for these communities. The employees would bark orders constantly at us, and had a ridiculous harsh tone when speaking. It honestly felt degrading and miserable to be in working/volunteering in an environment with the staff speaking to us volunteer workers in such a condescending way. They were very cold and unfriendly to the volunteer workers, and clearly had no problem showing their lack of care or respect to us. Overall, being able to volunteer at a foodbank is a great way to help the community, but I would not recommend this foodbank to volunteer at, as the staff are cold, and as stated above show a lack of respect or care for the volunteer workers under their supervision.

They don't distribute to individual, it's a distribution Centre for feeding their outlets. Humanity first is a stone throw about 900meters.

I am sure this organization has helped many people, however, I had an awful experience as a volunteer. The person in charge constantly yelled at me for not working fast enough, despite it being my first day. It was a very demotivating experience, which is really sad considering contributing to community service programs can be such a wonderful thing and should be treated as such. When I tried talking normally to her, she was very cold and unkind. I feel like volunteers should be shown that their position in society is valued and appreciated. I left this organization feeling hurt, undermined and belittled. I would not return unless the people in charge changed their approach and fostered a more inclusive, caring environment
