These guys got me back on the road in a hurry after I rolled in on a flat (with dualies). They quoted on a fix and was the same price on delivery. Fast and they checked the torque and air levels on ALL the tires.

Roy is the MAN! Thanks Roy, if you had not helped me get my tires taken care of I would have been stranded in Inuvik and still there. Super friendly, knowledgeable and competent. Shout out to Chance also. Cheers Lads, keep it up. If you need tire work done in or around Inuvik (you will if you do the dempster) this is the only place to consider.

Driving the Dempster, we got 2 flat tires. When we went to get the tires fixed at Northwind, we had a nail in the 3rd tire. They fixed all the tires very quickly and the price was very reasonable.

We drove the Dempster Highway to Inuvik in July 2013 in a heavily loaded minivan (we were on our way to paddle the Horton river). We were driving on all season tires near the end of their life, and ended up getting flats in two of them along the way. Fortunately we had brought 2 of our winter tires as spares, so we got to Inuvik ok.

We decided to replace the two flat tires with new ones for the drive back to Calgary, but there were none available in Inuvik. However, Raymond Wainman at Northwind Tire Sales and Towing Service did have some on order that he expected to arrive while we were on the Horton. He suggested that when the tires came in, he could pick up our vehicle from the airport, put the new tires on, and then return the vehicle to the airport.

This is exactly what he did, and it saved us a lot of time getting going back. Raymond had been recommended to us by others in Inuvik, and we found him very straightforward to deal with.

They are not able to issue an invoice in 4 weeks but they are pretty fast to charge your credit card!
