The Ajax Pickering Board of Trade is filled with people who are very welcoming and truly here to help local businesses. Being new to the Durham region, I didn't know anyone and was very lost on where to start. I found them on google. It was a very easy process to join, and since working with them they have helped create many invaluable connections and relationships. From top to bottom it is very well run and accommodating to all members regardless of their type of business/needs. A great networking organization for local businesses from sole proprietors to large organizations such as OPG. NFPs are welcome, too. They are very well run, and host various networking, advocacy, and business workshops throughout the year, and Eco-Business awareness and certification. Plus they offer member-to-member and affinity services at discounts. (Full Disclosure: I'm such a fan that I served as a director for two years!)
