I really don't think there is much more you could expect from any marina. How incredible everyone is at Loyalist Cove Marina, Brandon, Chris, and all the students and staff. Everyone knows what they're doing, great initiative on everyones part and the communication is astonishing. Chris (the mechanic) is a master in his trade. I had my 37.5 Hunter hauled out with them, as a generally picky person, I have not a single thing to criticize. Even the fellow guests at the marina are always prioritizing helping each other out.

It simply feels like you're in another world when you're there. It's weird! If the whole world was run like this place, we'd all live a much happier life.

While enroute to Halifax in our sailboat we experienced engine issues (dirt in diesel tank clogged line). This happened just East of Toronto. Called several marinas and town harbours requesting a diesel mechanic when we got in.....nope not one....and the places we called were very indifferent.
A friend recommended Loyalist Cove if we could sail that far.
I called Brandon and immediately knew I had someone that was dialed in!
We sailed through the night and were welcomed at the dock by Emma who knew her stuff. We got tied up at the service dock and down comes Brendan to introduce the mechanic (Chris) to us. This was Saturday morning! We stayed at a friend's in Kingston and when we got back to the boat Monday Chris has diagnosed and fixed the fuel issue. He then told me about two other issues (one I was aware of but was dragging my feet on). Parts were ordered and as they were going to be a week to get there we took off and sailed the area. Stopped at Confederation Basin for a night (which didn't hold a candle to Loyalist Cove.....sorry Kingston).
Brendan got hold of us and told us to come back in as the parts had arrived. Work was done then by Chris. Chris is no BS and works away. He allowed me to watch and learn, which is VERY unusual and decent. Would you want a customer looking over your shoulder as your working? I kept my mouth shut and eyes open to learn! I won't go over everything he did but full service with an Master Class thrown in. We are ready to go again Eastbound to Halifax. On the land side the clubhouse is brand new with a great lounge area with a new BBQ and kitchen. The washroom/showers are brand new and spotless. An 11 minute walk up the street is a LCBO/Beer agency convenience store right across from a pharmacy. Brendan even loaned us a couple of bikes to get there.
I can't say enough about the Loyalist Cove people. They know their stuff, they actually give a damn and are very friendly.

We had our Beneteau 423 stored at Loyalist Cove Marina this winter and must say the team are amazing. Everything was like clock work during the haul-out and they had the right machinery and experienced staff to make it stress free for the owner. Their facility is also quite impressive as the friendly staff! Thank you LCM!!

We were needing a slip re bad weather and they were full.
But they let us stay at the gas pump dock.
We met the owners and has a fun night. What a great spot.

David Hinton and his team at Loyalist Cove are amazing. With an indoor shop just down the road and the ability to handle cruising sailboats up to 50ft the marinas services are top notch. We had our boat in the shop for the winter of 2015-16 for a refit. The work done by Loyalist was all done well and close to the estimates provided. We were able to do much of the work ourselves, using there staff for the more fiddly and skilled fibreglass work we are not good at.

The attitude of the staff is great, they get sailors, moreover they get cruising sailors getting ready for the big trip. Eager to help and take on work as needed and just as happy to enable us to do the work ourselves.

We had a great experience at this marina, needed some fibreglass work done on our boat and they were able to get it done and back in the water in a matter of days. Josh is incredibly knowledgeable, a true master of his craft! You can tell that everyone who works here has incredible pride in what they do, it shows in their workmanship. Thanks again for all of your help.

The Staff at Loyalist Cove Marina are great people. They are always ready and willing to help. We have had our boat at Loyalist Cove for 5 years and it is the ideal location to sail in all directions. Thanks to the staff for all the hard work they do. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement no matter what we do.
