A family member of mine needed a clean safe place on discharge from a local hospital. As my family member was unable to get home.The owner and staff were extremely kind, caring and accommodating as family couldn't be there due to winter weather. Thank you Larry & staff.

Great place! The room was spotlessly clean and the grounds were well maintained. The room included a comfortable bed and enough pillows. Towels, soap, toilet paper, and tissue were included with the bathroom. There was also a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, mugs, and an ice bucket.

There was plenty of hot water in the shower and the thermostat worked great.

I really appreciated the friendly inn keeper who provided excellent service via email and in person. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.

It was not our plan to stay here on the night we arrived. We were supposed to stay in Tobermory, but due to a significant highway accident that closed the highway for hours, we missed our evening ferry. With only a few hours notice, our options on the island were limited, so, when we booked Manitoulin Inn we had muted expectations. | The exterior is well kept and welcoming. The room (we had 2 queen beds) was dated but clean and comfortable. For the cost, some kind of breakfast option would have been nice, but there is a local bakery nearby that opens early and that the proprietor recommended. The best part of our stay was the service and kindness of the proprietor. Having explained our circumstances, we were given a modest but very meaningful (to us) discount -- in stark contrast to the hotel we had booked in Tobermory that gave no quarter despite the circumstances. He was friendly, informative, gave great advice about the area, and offered strategies to maximize using standby the next morning for the ferry. Auhtentic, sympathetic, welcoming, and informative. Great customer serice and a good stay.

We stayed here the entire July long weekend from Friday to Monday! Amazing central location to all the places we wanted to go! Within walking distance to the Ribfest that was going on, as well as the grocery store and convenience store. Restaurant right beside the inn. Rooms were clean, had a nice little kitchenette as well. Staff/owners were amazing - we were on motorcycles, and we were offered to put our bikes in the garage as they were calling for possible hail, so nice of them to offer but the storm did not come thankfully!! We will be back again some day for sure! Highly recommend the Manitoulin Inn!!

The bed was very comfortable but a couple of items got my attention.....the battery in the fire alarm was flashing red, meaning dead battery. Secondly, the hair dryer kept falling down, we didn't use it but not properly secured.....and lastly, we found the bathroom quite dirty especially the corners of the bathroom and the baseboards.. other than that, good! price too high!!

This place is amazing. First impression's, property is well manicured. The office is immaculate and the service is very accommodating. The rooms are large, very clean and you can tell well looked after. Location is great, not far from the Ferry.

This motel is clean and the reception is friendly and hospitable. The biggest problem with the room was the fact that the bed was insanely uncomfortable - I don't know who designed the mattress but none of my family was able to have a good night's sleep. Another thing is that because the motel is relatively old, there are very few sockets to plug anything in.
