This unethical company should be avoided at all costs. We were a customer for several years paying with a virtual credit card that we set a transaction limit to just above the monthly charge. They increased the amount without us seeing any notification and the card declined, which they proceeded to lock our account for nonpayment immediately and not try the card again for the correct amount or contact us in any other way. At some point, they started charging the correct amount again and the card processed. They captured several months of payments for service that was not rendered because they had previously locked our account and not applied the payments they were receiving to the fees owed when the account was active. Upon stumbling across all of this when wondering why our orders had stopped coming in from our one key account which used EDI, I reached out to their customer service to explain what had happened and expected them to quickly apologize and correct their computer glitch. Not so. They accused us of not paying and would not consider the fact they had not provided us account access while continuing to charge us. We told them we wanted to cancel our account if they would not consider the facts. They have continued to attempt charging our card for new months of service after we cancelled and won't stop trying to charge us and have even gone to sending our account to collections for these additional months after our cancellation, even though we have paid for many more months of service than we have received. The whole thing would be hilarious if it wasn't illegal and detrimental to our company credit score and my mental health. I would recommend that anyone needing EDI services do ANYTHING they can to avoid working with SPS Commerce.

Edit: Below is a "response from the owner", which makes no promise of actually resolving the issue. They have not reached out to us and they already told us concretely that they would not consider any of the information provided here. They have no intent to change their processes as suggested in the response and this emptiness of their company communication should be taken has further confirmation that this company is corrupt and not interested in actually acting ethically.

Several issues with this companies EDI Services - Project implementation to last 30-60 days with all specs confirmed and provided, fees to be paid by VISA only for all carrier clients. Implementation lasted 6 months, with direct with drawl from our account of funds, service provided after 180 days of paying for it - 2015. In 2018 rate change noticed, when requesting adjustment we were told that we will not be credited. SPS sent a link to their website on T&C, where it stated clearly they are to inform the client before increase. Woudl avoid this compay at all costs due to improper business ethics and misleading and not following their own policy. Transferred our business to another EDI provider, who was able to commit to their timelines, and were in the same price range for services. billing is clear and company communicates with us on all changes.
