It was such an unexpectedly wonderful experience when I decided to pop in while I was in town. Books were priced reasonably, the selection was good, and most importantly, the staff overflowed with enthusiasm and knowledge while helping me (and others in store) pick out books based on the ages/reading levels and interests of the people we were shopping for. I was in the store for a considerable time as I skimmed through various books I considered. During that time, I heard how helpful they were to customers (while ordering copies of books requested by locals, for example). Indeed, it is everything you could hope for in a small-town bookstore - and their business manner provides reason enough to shop through them instead of Amazon/Indigo.

Brilliant selection of puzzles and an excellent selection of books and gifts as well. Very friendly people behind the counter with loads of information on what they have on hand and on the Perth area as well. Worth a look if you're in town.

The Book Nook is a fabulous little store that stocks books, yes, but also puzzles, games, prints by local artists, and other items. Run by friendly and knowledgeable folk with a pronounced dedication to local authors and artists, The Book Nook has something for everyone.
