I regret to share my disappointing experience with My Storage regarding the return of my security deposit. After canceling my service over two months ago, I am yet to receive the deposit despite numerous follow-ups.

Whenever I contact the office, I am repeatedly told that the payment is being processed, but no resolution has been provided. Most recently, the site manager assured me that the deposit was sent via e-transfer on November 28th. However, I have not received the payment, and no proof of the transaction has been shared.

What’s even more disheartening is noticing that the owner only seems to respond to positive reviews, ignoring concerns and complaints from dissatisfied customers. This behavior clearly reflects a lack of professionalism and integrity.

I have exhausted all efforts to resolve this matter amicably, but the lack of accountability is concerning. While their storage services may meet expectations, this financial and customer service issue reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism.

I strongly urge anyone considering using My Storage to exercise caution. A company’s true character is revealed in how it addresses customer issues, and unfortunately, My Storage has failed in this regard.

The management called me the third week of January 2025 and apologized for not being able to process my refund promptly. They processed the it right away. I am glad that there is a resolution to my concern. The management said they are committed to ensuring that issues like this won't happen again.

Management blatantly lied to me about a promotional offer I was promised to keep me as a customer when I decided to downsize units instead of moving out. I was offered a "buy one, get one free" (BOGO) promotion, but they revoked the offer after I discovered and disputed TWO MONTHS of incorrect charges. While the fees were eventually corrected—after numerous frustrating interactions with different associates—I still lost $157.46 due to their refusal to honour the promised free month.

The Woodstock location manager, Carti, along with the district manager, Brandon, proved to be dishonest. Brandon claimed he overheard my conversation with Carti through their video/audio recording capabilities and essentially stated that I was lying about the promotion Carti offered me. Albeit, given the size and acoustics of their main office, it’s highly doubtful he could have accurately heard what was discussed.

Ultimately, they chose to save $157.46 at the expense of honesty. This situation could have been resolved if they had simply acknowledged their mistake and honoured the offer, as that promotion was the only reason I stayed. If the BOGO promo wasn’t available to existing customers, they should never have offered it.

I don’t expect to see the money they owe me, but I want others to be aware— BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO BUSINESS HERE.

This company is the best storage facility I have dealt with and its' people are the reason! Stephanie spent a considerable amount of time helping me find the right storage solution at the right price. Her customer service was above and beyond my expectations. I choose the Woodstock location and Morgan had all the details and everything ready for me when I arrived. I highly recommend using My Storage when looking for safe, affordable storage with customer service that shines!

The MyStorage Woodstock site is very nice, well kept and it’s a bonus being right off the highway, but the Site Manager Carti really makes the facility enjoyable. She was able to answer all my questions, gave me a tour of the facility and some sizes I was looking at, ran through all the perks offered with the unit AND available promotions. Very sweet and professional young lady. Customer service was 10/10 she was a gem!

She answered all of my questions and went out of her way to make sure I knew which size unit would fit my needs. She also gave me helpful info I didn’t even know I needed! They fixed my door issues after 7 weeks said they would compensate us. When we paid what we agreed upon yesterday today no access and say we owed them more in less then 24hr. Also if you do not give them a 5 star rating they call and ask you to remove your rating. A horrible business to work with.

She walked us through every step and made sure we were making the right decision in regards to size of unit we needed. I would highly recommend my storage and as well as their fantastic staff!
