My experience with reBOOT was not a good one.

I have a laptop that I would like to donate. I had a couple of questions that I needed answered, prior to donating, that the website did not cover. They were in regards to acceptable conditions of equipment.

Since the beginning of January 2025 until the end of January, I made multiple phone calls, left voicemails, and sent e-mails. No one ever answered or responded to either type of correspondence.

As of February, I decided to stop trying. This company is either highly unprofessional, extremely incompetent, or both.

I will look for alternatives for donating my old equipment. However, I would recommend not considering them. For a company that deals in computers, they don't seem very capable of using them.

To address the obvious, I do not use my real name for public postings (hence the Jojo Bobo). However, if reBOOT wants to reach out to me, I will be more than happy to discuss in private. I doubt they will, given the current track record.

Do not recommend. Most of the computers they receive are at the end of their life and are very poor quality. The "premium" laptop I received in 2023 was already 8 years old (2016 model) and lasted just barely a year before the monitor went. Save your money to buy a new computer instead.

Had a great experience from beginning to end when I picked up my refurbished desktop computer today. Located near the soon to be opening TTC Oakwood station with plenty of paid street parking and the nearby Green P covered parking garage. The entire pickup time was about 30 minutes. A wonderful organization doing great service to the citizens of Ontario through their locations. Great place to drop off various types of computer equipment. It would be even better if they had a convenient location in Scarborough so that clients do not have to travel at least 1 + plus hour going through various traffic jams throughout the city and the 401 all the time and it is getting worse every day. The Scarborough location should have a free parking lot (covered or open) and your pickup days should be 5 days a week as demand for your service is quite high!!!

Filling out the donation process and going to the donation site was slow, and it's been over 4 months and i haven't got my donation receipt. Spoke to cust service twice who assured me both times the IT team would look into a bug into sending receipts, and never got follow up. Not my first time donating items, but it's been super frustrating dealing with them.

Someone contacted me a week after I submitted details via the online Equipment Donation Form and it resulted in booking an appt to drop off the noted 8 items on Sept 24, 2021.

The email I received when I submitted the form stated “An itemized tax receipt will be emailed to this address 4 - 6 weeks from the date of drop off” so I sent a follow-up email regarding the receipt on Nov 7 and submitted a second follow-up email on Nov. 29 as nothing has been sent to me nor any reply of any kind.

This is very disappointing as I doubt I will ever receive the receipt as initially committed to.
