A great place to call home.
A housing co-operative is exactly what it sounds like, a co-operative community which lies somewhere between traditional renting and home ownership. Crossroads is a quiet complex hidden between natural forest/wetland and Booth Road close to highway access and local amenities. I have lived here for the better part of 10 years and can tell you that you won't find more value for your dollar in North Bay. The community is autonomous and self-governed, so if you don't like the way something is being run, you can change it. The 50 units are a split between Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) and market rent (which is still affordable because there is no landlord making a profit off of your rent).
In my decade of living there I have many great things to say, vs. few negative things - but the most important thing to note is that I was always able to change those negative things with the help of neighbours and the elected board of directors.
If you looking for 2, 3 or 4 bedroom townhouse, or a 2-3 bedroom accessible unit, give Crossroads a call, get your application in, and hopefully you will get a call soon.

Garbage and recycling is overflowing and spilling onto the road and this is the first thing that you see when you enter Crossroads. Units are like sardines and are much too close together. Fences need repairs.

It is a closed in community, allowing for safety, however... drivers need to watch for cycling children
