I recently bought a very old house that needed rewiring from knob and tubes + upgrade of the electrical panel.
Barry’s electric teams did excellent work!
It was a big job that took a couple of days.
Holes in the walls and ceilings were minimal and they left the place very clean.
Thomas and his team were very professional

Recently had our 100 year old home electrical upgraded from mixed knob and tube and newer wiring. Also upgraded our panel which was a dogs breakfast from additions over the years. This was a really big project affecting the whole house. End of day I give Barry's Electric five stars. Quoting process was good and accurate. Work completed in the 7-8 day window quoted and the final price was $1000 cheaper than original quote because some things were up to code. Also damage to walls and ceilings were minimal. We have special ceiling treatment in the living and dining room and the guys were able to re-wire without damaging these. All round excellent work. Thanks.

We recently completed a substantial home renovation and addition project and Barry's Electric was the company contracted to do the electrical work. From the get-go, we found their technicians to be personable, responsive to our needs, and clear in terms of their communications. This project took nearly a year to complete and Barry's was on site on several occasions to complete the work needed.

Our project included:
1) Solar installation (we built a NetZero home)
2) Two linked electrical panels (primary and secondary dwelling)
3) Installation of electricity monitoring equipment on our panel
4) Routine electrical work throughout the home

The primary person we dealt with was Thomas L, who was superb in terms of his client service approach and his management of staff on site.

We strongly recommend Barry's as we had a great experience with them. We saw many contractors come through the job site and they were among the most responsive, professional and (especially important) CLEAN in everything they did.

Job quality only fair. They did some extra work for which no quote was provided and I was startled to see the invoice (150 + HST for about 10 bucks in materials and 15 minutes of work I could easily do myself). Left a bit of a mess at the site as well (didn't clean up sawdust or take their garbage with them, failed to reinstall a removed ceiling tile). The actual wiring was done well and on time but I will probably call someone else next time I need electrical work done.
