There are 2 dudes I’ve conversed with a number of times at this place and it’s always been real positive. (Mostly chain saw repair related) Oddly, it feels like a pleasure spending some money there. They don’t make you feel stupid when you don’t have the time to figure a problem out yourself. You also feel like they genuinely want to accurately know your issue, respect what you do and don’t want to wast your time and money. I really hope they keep those guys working there cuz the wrong guys at a business changes everything.

I was searching Canada-wide for a very important skidsteer part not available even from the manufacturer. Frank went above and beyond to find not one but two parts that were almost non-exisitant, had them delivered to our service provider in another provice and saved us thousands. Even more rare these days, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Helpful and concerned about doing everything he could to help our situation. Cheers to you Frank and Rento Co Equipment! Hate going here I've dropped of a list of parts for my quad went thier 2 weeks later to find out they lost the list. brought them a 2nd list witch I've also never heard from again. Try to order parts for my Honda shadow 1100 also never got a call back. Now I have to go to GP or Edmonton for parts. I'm not saying it's a bad place to buy stuff. but I've never had a good experience going here.

Rented a scissor lift to install a gas price changer in the local No Frills. Staff were friendly and helpful and made sure my lift got to site and got picked up the next day.

I don't do a lot of work in Peace River but should I need another lift in the area I know who to call!

The staff was amazing and super helpful. They explained all the differences and helped me pick the right mower for my needs and yard size. I would definitely recommend this place for all rental and Honda equipment purchases.

Tried to get my bike in for a service wouldn’t let me book a time said drop off only when they used to at least make an appointment so that you could have you filters lined up and have you bike back the same day argued with the front counter guy then later called to speak with technician to see when I could bring it in they didn’t call me back and parts wouldn’t call me back to let me know filters were in either I didn’t think rentco could get worse but with the new management they surprisingly got worse that will be the last time I give them the time of day

I took my side by side (Honda pioneer 1000) it had a grinding noise coming from the front differential when driven 40+km/h. I dropped it off in the morning and all seemed well... they got it into the shop fairly quick, I called at lunch and was told they would return my call. I got a call back about 45 min later this time from the mechanic himself, his response left me scratching my head.... he couldn’t help me because they don’t have anywhere to get the machine to that speed. So I went to pick it up.

When I showed up and told an employee at the front desk he was also shocked to hear the answer I was given, he assured me he would straighten it out and I left him with it... 1.5 hours later the mechanic was back on the phone and was now telling me he took it out and there’s no noise, i immediately arrived at rentco to drive it with him... in short order he was listening to a loud grinding noise..... so back in the shop it went!

Shortly before this mechanic was off shift, about an hour later.... he called me back and said he’s been on the phone with Honda and said it’s nothing out of the norm it’s just (driveline chatter). Once I showed up to pick up my machine that same day (May 22, 2018) the mechanic drove my side by side out of the shop door that’s 1.5” wider than a side by side and onto my trailer, he proceeded to tell me... if and when it breaks don’t worry it’s recorded here and it’ll be under warranty. He also told me he had to reclamp a CV boot that was undone, I asked if any greased was put in and he said no because he didn’t have the needed tools to remove the CV clamps.

My machine was 10 days old and had 13.7 hours on it, the cost for this machine is around 30,000.00 and apparently after 13 hours of no noises it can suddenly start grinding gears and be considered (normal). My machine is now sitting in Fairview at Cycle West it’s the following day and is being fixed because apparently the normal driveline chatter diagnosis from Rentco’s mechanical team wasn’t correct ( which any fool would know).

I’m a busy person that would love to be doing anything other than typing a bad review about Rentco, but had I seen one like this I would have saved a ton of time.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND NEED A MECHANIC DRIVE THE EXTRA 45 MIN TO CYCLE WEST ITS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT.
