Fast service got me in that morning. Found out within a couple hours motherboard was fried. Which totally sucks but out of anyone’s control. he grabbed my hard drive out for me and explained a bunch of stuff. Very nice owner. Quick turn around.

Steve is my go-too computer guy! I’ve brought him a couple of computers to work on, the latest being an old, slow AF desktop that I wanted some RAM and other upgrades on. Steve is not only efficient, he has very fair pricing. What would have cost over $1000 had I gone elsewhere cost me well under $1000 at Bitrate. I had an issue with connecting a monitor (not something he had anything to do with and most likely a “me problem“), Steve said to bring the computer down first thing and within an hour he had updated the drivers and I was good-to-go! I highly recommend Steve & Bitrate Computers, I won’t go anywhere else!

Absolutely amazing customer service! When my computer completely crashed on me he fixed it right up installing a new hard drive and increasing the RAM. It works so much better than it did before! After doing that he continued to work into the night to recover some pictures I thought were lost forever. I can't thank him enough. Highly recommend for great service and unbeatable price.

Absolutely blown away but the level of service and professionalism of this business in Nanaimo. My 14TB Western Digital external drive failed and it was the only backup I had of all my childrens photos for the last 6 years (every single photo and video!) as well as a bunch of my client work. I called a company in Vancouver and they were going to charge me $1000 to attempt a data recovery. Bitrate Computer Services told me they'd do it for $60. I was skeptical but gave it a try. Not only did they fully recover my all my incredibly valuable data, they also did it in 24 freaking hours! You guys are amazing, and I can't thank you enough! ps. my failed hard drive was waranteed perfectly by western digital with the attached receipt and screenshot Bitrate gave me with my recovered data. Life is good! ❤️ I'd rate you 50 stars out of 5 if I could.
