Food was good and our server was very attentive. Atmosphere - very quiet but nice decor. However, looking through reviews someone mentioned strange addon charges so I looked at my receipt; $3 for the thinnest slice of cheese (it was transparent!) and $6 to sub Yam fries, seems a little steep. That said, we will probably be back.

This is the first time I've gone to the station pub. I was a little apprehensive because for the last week that I have been here I've not had good experiences at restaurants.
Well that all changed today! There was one bartender, two waitresses and two kitchen staff for the whole place. I got the last table of two, it was packed. My waitress was very up front about the wait for food due to just getting slammed ! I totally appreciated that and can understand. Multiple times throughout my time. There, her and the other waitress checked in on me offering me another drink, more water and giving me the eta on my food. These are the kinds of things I expect servers to do. The bartender went over and above to provide me change on the pull tab machine. Didn't like my $5 bill.
The food was delicious! I had the turkey club sandwich with fries. Everything tasted really fresh and vibrant and the turkey was cooked to perfection. They have a lovely garlic aioli that complimented the french fries beautifully! The people that work in this restaurant clearly enjoy their job and have integrity in doing it well! It was a pleasure to leave a tip!! I will go to this restaurant again.

Small Town Dive with a Big Personality. Great for locals I'm sure, a tad awkward for out of towners.

This pub had that small-town charm everyone talks about - for better or worse. The bartender was like a real-life Ruth from Ozark. She kept the drinks flowing and the atmosphere lively, even if her idea of lively was arguing with a couple regulars over the hockey game.

The service was spotty at best. My server was also the bartender and I had to go up to the bar from my table to get a menu and pay. The live music was...well, let's just say it wasn't going to win any awards. My beef dip was just okay. The meat was decent, but the whole thing lacked flavor.

Overall, it's an experience. If you're looking for a fancy night out, this ain't it. But if you want a dive bar atmosphere with some colorful characters, this pub might be your place. Just don't expect top-notch service or gourmet food.

Absolutely pathetic.

I ordered the candied BLT and although I just wanted the sandwich without a side, no discount was offered. To make matters worse, the sourdough bread though lightly toasted was very dry and the crust was literally like chewing beef jerky. To make it even yet more worse, though I ate less than half the sandwich, without a side, the server only discounted my order by five dollars for a sandwich that cost 16.95!
Seriously?
Add to this my wife wanted one piece of fish and was given two. When she asked our server why, my wife was told that it only comes with two pieces and was charged full price!
Again, seriously?!?
This is unquestionably the worst dinning experience I have had in years!
Add to this a poorly written menu with items crossed out with a magic marker and in the wall behind one of the booth seats was a protruding screw that could be hazardous to a tall person leaning back. I mentioned this to our server and she seemed to care less.
I very, VERY strongly recommend not eating here.
With this year's theme being "vacation in Canada" you'd think The Train Station Pub would want to up their game, but this is clearly not the case.
It seems they are shamelessly okay with being an embarrassment to the good people of Grand Forks.
Hopefully, for the people of Grand Forks the owners of The Train Station Pub will either go under or sell soon. The people of Grand Forks and anyone vacationing here deserve way better than this.

On a bike trip we all stopped in for some food and drinks and this establishment was amazing! The decor once you walk through the door shows lots of history, the staff was absolutely amazing and very welcoming. The owner was sociable and checked in with us, and the FOOD, OMG absolutely a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend the burgers, and the brisket bites!! This place will definitely be on the list to visit again.

Walk in and was not overwhelmed. The place seemed a bit dated. The service overcame that though with a very friendly greeting and prompt seating. The server was excellent and the food was good so would recommend.

Mixed feeling on this. The first two times we went there it was really nice and good food. The third time the food dropped quite a lot and it took 1 hour to be served. There were a lot of people and only one server, so I understand but the wait was too long. Still I would recommend this place.

We brought family here last night. It was good being able to eat downstairs. The burgers were very good. The wings were really good. It was wing Wednesday so was a good deal. My husband and I shared the large burger with a burger pattie, smoked meat, and sourkraut. It was just okay. The two meats just didn't seem to work great together. The gluten free bun was very good though. The fries were good.
