AVOID THIS COMPANY! They’re a total scam! After paying, they’ll never refund your money. We tried to cancel after the horrible service, but they refused. The food was disgusting - smelled and looked like rotten garbage.We found fungus in the salad and mold in the rice. The containers were dirty and messy. The food was also oily and greasy, with a terrible smell when it reached me. Even they accepted that because of high orders and change in weather their food got spoiled, We threw away every meal. Worst experience ever! I got sick and requested a refund for the remaining portion, but they forced me to continue, refusing to refund. What a cheap tactic to make money! Don’t waste your money. Zero stars if I could.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The WORST TIFFIN SERVER that I have ever tried. Their food was extremely oily. The potato was UNBOILED and NOT-EDIBLE. There are no masalas or taste in any of the curries. I took the 5 item Thali (Veg for myself and non-veg for my partner) both were extremely bad, we just could not eat it. The EXCESSIVE OIL from the curries leaked through the containers and spread across the plastic bag as well. On contacting the customer care, they made me wait about 2 days just to talk to different people for 5 minutes and then they hang up saying "This is the most we can do, now you have to send an email". When asking for a partial refund (6 days worth money for two thalis) they reply "our terms and conditions do not allow it", despite the food being absolutely below the standard.
Food also arrived COLD and the curries were WATER-like consistency.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE. NOT NUTRITIOUS plus you will be ruining your health with the oil amounts.

Update : They said they will initiate a refund ( after subtracting one day food, and mind you, an inconvenience fee, this is literally the first time I'm hearing of a inconvenience fee the customer caused, lol, anyway they still go on and send me a refund agreement to delete all my reviews just to get a $65 dollar refund (I paid 100 something for 6 days meals). Irrespective of the money, just the guts to ask me to delete reviews and only then will the send a refund is CRAZY!!!

Guy please stay far from them they are biggest fraud first they convince very politely with different offers and convince to pay instantly in order to grab that offer . Unfortunately i trapped and send the whole month money once after getting that food i realized my mistake the food was too bad it was too old after eating in started to feel like bloating and vomiting . When I complained they forced me to continue that service. Even after that terrible experience who gonna have it again . I ask for refund they clear denied and told me to promote there business by transferring to my friends you guys seriously guys. I am adding there fraud proofs . Dont be trapped guy . I signed up for this service expecting quality meals and professional customer care. Unfortunately, neither was delivered.

1. Labelling Error and Item Swapping:
My tiffin was incorrectly labeled, and the salad I was supposed to receive was replaced by a curry without any notice. While they acknowledged the error, they dismissed it as a one-time issue and refused to accept that it impacted the overall customer experience—especially since the meal was prepaid.

2. Food Quality Concerns:
One of the meals tasted stale and unappetizing, raising serious concerns about food safety. When we brought this up, instead of an apology or concern for our health, we were asked to provide “evidence” and told that since no one else complained, the food must have been fine. This attitude is very concerning when it comes to something as sensitive as food quality.

3. Unfair Resolution Options:
We were denied a refund despite valid concerns, and instead offered 2 additional tiffins as a “goodwill gesture”—but only if we agree to taste the food in front of the delivery person. This felt unprofessional and intrusive. Alternatively, we were told we could transfer our remaining tiffins to someone else, which doesn’t solve the issue at hand and puts the burden back on us as customers.

4. Lack of Accountability:
While the legal response was worded politely, it lacked accountability and failed to provide a reasonable solution. It felt more like damage control than genuine care for customer satisfaction. Food Monks appears more focused on protecting their image than addressing legitimate issues.

Final Verdict:
With so many tiffin services available that value their customers and back their quality with actions—not just words—I cannot recommend Food Monks. If you’re looking for reliability, respect, and accountability, look elsewhere.

SUPER HONEST REVIEW: this is the worst tiffin service I have ever had. Do yourself a favor, dont order with them, save your money.
They messed up my meals 5 times in last 3 weeks. Two times food was stale, and three times the order was totally different than what was ordered. For ex: in above attached picture. The parcel says poha but it’s leftover fried rice from some other day. Your health is not their priority but yours, they are feeding you trash. Save yourself and thank me later. Oh and their customer support is also crappy, for every complaint you make they will throw a justification in your face and then try to guilt you over by saying terms like “we are a small business, things happen”. Like its not my problem. Basically they don’t take any responsibility for the mess they create, neither do they try to rectify it. Oh and the good tiffin is a myth. Also dont fall for any offer meals that they offer you before you buy a monthly subscription. Its also a hoax , those meals will never be delivered. They will always have an excuse for the mess up. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE.

SCAM ALERT!!! These people are a scam. Once paid, they NEVER REFUND the money. We wanted to cancel the meal services after first day's bad customer service, but they refused. Food smells and looks like poop mixed with spices. Every curry looks same. Each tiffin came with rotten food. The salad came with red fungus. The rice came with black mould. Containers were always dirty with food dripped all over.

We had ordered 1 veg tiffin and 1 non-veg tiffin. They never delivered non-veg food. When complained, they took no action.

They use some third party service for food delivery. So they cook food and deliver it at 8:30 am. So from morning till the evening delivery, the food stays outside, without any cooler or icepack. Every day the tiffin delivered to us was stale, and rotten. They add excessive oil and excessive spices. It is impossible to eat their food.

They advertise on their website 'microwavable container' but they send normal tiffin containers. When asked why they were false advertising, they had no answer.

All the customer service staff lie a lot. They are too dumb and give useless reasons for every concerns. It is impossible to have a sensible conversation with them.

We threw all the food. It was a disastrous experience. I will never order food from them. These people dont deserve even 1 star. I would have given them a negative rating if google allowed us. We have tried so many tiffin services and this was the WORST one.

I’ve been ordering from Food Monks for over a year now, and they’ve never let me down. The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Whether it’s a quick meal or something special, they always get it right. The consistency and quality keep me coming back, and the service is just as great. If you’re looking for amazing food in Toronto, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

The worst tiffin (food) service i have ever had since two years. The quality of the food is below par and stale food many times. The quantity is never sufficient for one meal for a person. The food smells and taste like cooked a week earlier. The gravy is like jelly, eveytime i get chicken, egg and fish curries. All these curries are stale and foul odour.
The packaging is always leaking and doesnt hold the container before the delivery. Every time you tell them a complaint you get an apology message, and no further actions will be taken.

Worst Food taste. Worst Food handling. Worst customer Experience.

Google doesnt allow us to give less than 1 star. They dont even deserve 1 star rating.

I am writing this review after waiting for 10 meals. Hoping it could get better some time, but it never happened.
