One of the best campgrounds we stayed at during our 4 weeks Alaska/Yukon trip. A hidden diamond!

Glenn and his "senior management" (=his wife) built the campground 50 years ago and still run it with full heart.
Most spaces have direct lake access and mountain/lake view.
There is good Starlink internet access near the main house and paid fresh water / dump facilities if needed. Facilities and campsites are very well maintained and clean, the main house terrace is currently being renovated.
Electricity is somewhat scarce as there are no power lines coming to the area, but generators can be used without any restrictions. No hookups.
We got a hearty "Merry Christmas, I'm the first to say it" at our departure 😀.

Upon arrival, Robert the owner greets you at the entrance as you exit your RV. Then he takes you on a grand tour of his little place in paradise to personally select your site on a golf cart. We opted for the one close to the main building for excellent internet access. There are others that are very private and all on a gorgeous beach on a 49 mile long lake. No electricity provided as no there are no high tension wires to the property, but who cares when you are fortunate enough in this day and age to have solar panels and it never gets dark here, so endless renewable energy. Showers, water and dump station available. Honestly, if you pass by without staying, you’re missing something very special! Thanks Robert for sharing your property.

This was by far the most beautiful place to camp at. They had very nice campsites right off the lake. It was like camping in heaven. They had a small little store that didn't have much, but the showers were included with your stay. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The laundry facility was closed, so don't plan on doing laundry here. The owners were nice enough, the man really made sure you kept your campsite clean and that you put away food and anything shiny so as not to attract seagulls and bears. There was also a bear patrol that went around every hour. So happy we stayed here.

We stopped by this RV park to check out on our way up Alaska and found it is still open. The business owners (Glenn and wife) are wonderful people so we will definitely stay here on our way back.

Only 15A hookup for US$40, odd maneuvering your RV for water filling the only water supply, inclined dump station near restroom, weak WIFI, pack your own garbage out... If you can put up with these, then the campground have great free DVDs, beautifully landscaped, some sites with tent pads and even wooden deck to stretch out, hot clean shower/toilet. Linda at Cottonwood advised us to watch for bear and her cubs provided that Glen doing his job chasing them away. We told them if no peaceful coexistence then we'll lean toward self preservation and will spray them if they endangering our cubs. Linda relented but look at us strangely! Low rating due to treatment of none resident campers, hundred miles out of nowhere, and would not provide sanidump for a price but to turn them away.

Sites along the lake, beach is steps away. The owners are very helpful, and take great care of their campsite. They only take cash, no credit cards, garbage is pack in pack out, no sani dump.
