We’ve been moving from the Lower 48 back to Alaska, and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in all week. Great service, and the rooms are so clean/well kept (especially compared to everything else we’ve stayed in). It looks as though the last remodel was in the 80s, but it’s so well maintained and in excellent condition. It just shows how much effort the owners are putting into their business. And honestly, the 80s feel makes it cosy/nostalgic for me.

It does smell a bit musty/has the old house smell, but I think they try hard to air it out. Point being: they try hard, and it shows.

I would stay again in a heartbeat.

On the main road. Fairly dated but rating low because I booked far in advance & when we got there they put us in an adjacent "cabin" which was a dirty tuff-shed. I got a refund (this a decent rating for service) & went on up the road to find a less expensive, newer & cleaner spot.

The room reeked terribly of cigarettes, it was hard to breathe honestly. Also the neighboring room, which we believed may be a permanent resident, sounded like they were moving furniture all night and filling a trashcan very loudly with beer bottles. Also the light switches didn't work, and the room was boiling hot with seemingly no way to control the heat. You'd be better off just sleeping in your car.

The husband, dog and I are on a one month long trek across Canada and US. We still have 2 more weeks to go, and this was the worst motel we have seen, and the only negative review we have! (We have stayed in 10 different motels along the way so far)…

1. Staff ok
2. Room wreaked of cigarettes!!!
3. Only 2 lamps! Super dark
4. Microwave was absolutely disgusting dirty!
5. Both inside and outside of toilet was unbelievably dirty!
7. Bedding was clean, but we weren’t very comfortable due to all of the negative things!
8. There was dog crap all over the strip of lawn leading to the rooms in the back.
We were in room 11.
9. The breakers jumped every time we tried to use the microwave! The power bar kept jumping also!

We are very simple people who just wanted a CLEAN, comfortable place to sleep for 1 night. There was a bicycle rally in town, so we couldn’t find anything else. I would never recommend this hole!

Stopped here on a cross country trip and it was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It was too late to try to find another place.
It stank of cigarette smoke and there were stains and cigarette burn marks on the bedcovers. I did not want to sleep in the sheets.

Microwave cord was too short to reach the outlet. The shower was COLD and I could not get it to warm up. My mom said the shower was hot in the morning so maybe there are plumbing issues.

Disgusting hotel. Do not stay here.

While our room wasn't ready upon arrival, the owner fixed that herself immediately. She brought the sheets, towels and garbage cans to make the room ready for the night. I liked that they had a restaurant right next but unfortunately they didn't open for breakfast. Everyone was friendly and professional.
It was definitely okay for a night and considering that the next stop was still too far away to drive all in one day I'm highly appreciative of the accommodations. We had a fridge with freezer compartment, a coffee maker and comfortable beds.
There is a nice coffee shop in the town and the surrounding views are breathtaking. I wish I could explore more in that area.
