I've been a curious photographer for about 4 years and Michael from this shop has taken time and helped me understand a lot about the right camera. I chose Nikon Zf as something I'll enjoy for next 10+ years. He is very knowledgeable and open minded. A gem for a store that deserves to be named after him. Also he made a composition of articles about photography fundamentals and digital manual that I search and learn from. Amazon isn't going to want to do that for you. Thank you

Went to see Michael to ask some questions about our camera. Michael was so friendly and helpful and answered all our questions and more, took the time to help even though we did not buy any thing. Such good service, would highly recommend. Michael at Focus camera store have just moved, to find him go into Signature Furniture, goes pass the spas baths, turn left and walk down the middle of the aisle and you will find him.

I went in looking for a specialized 360 camera brand which Focus does not carry. Owner Michael Kelly went out of his and called several local stores on our behalf to see if anyone carried what we needed. Michael also discussed options with us to order the part. That is excellent customer service, with not prospect of a sale. Thank you!

We are lucky here in Whitehorse to have such a great camera store. Michael is very knowledgeable and is able to quickly order in anything they don't have on hand.
They are also extremely helpful whenever I need to send anything out for service.
I find their prices match the stores down south and Amazon.
Focus - Yukon's Camera Shop is always my first stop whenever I need anything camera related.

Stumbled upon Focus and Michael while traveling through on an extended road trip. Michael went out of his way to help me with a battery charge and then helped me with filters out of his stock and demos of new cameras. This kind of customer experience and camera knowledge is amazing in the great white north. Very highly Recommended!

So thankful to have this shop in town! If you're looking to upgrade your Northern Lights photography (or any photographs, really) this is the place to go. The Only place in town (as of this writing) that has tripods for sale, which is a MUST if you're hoping to get clear shots of the Aurora.
he's also got a selection of memory cards, and lense protectors, not to mention a whole new set-up of camera bodies if you were looking to really go all out. Local, independent, friendly, knowledgable, definitely worth going in!
