The training and coaching I received at Community Futures has made a significant impact to my business. The workshops were a focused time to think through all the fundamental aspects of starting a business - from goal setting, bookkeeping to customer service. I can't recommend Community Futures enough! The guidance and experience they provided were invaluable. From helping me develop a business plan, to marketing, managing, and so much more...they were there to help every step of the way. They even helped me secure a small start-up loan through "Entrepreneurs with Disabilities"!
But I think that the most important tool that they offer is belief...they give you the confidence to believe in yourself! Having someone in your corner to guide you over the hurdles and bolstering your confidence is paramount in starting a business. They are your team! They become invested in your dream.

The staff are friendly, very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience in the business field that they want to share with entrepreneurs. Make sure you ask questions BEFORE you begin this program. Ask as many questions as you wish DURING the program. Do not SPEND any of your money if you feel pushed to do so. Make a REALISTIC proposal for your business idea. Get a SECOND OPINION as to the VIABILITY of your business idea. Do not VOLUNTEER any information to this program's facilitators that you do not feel is warranted. Do not allow yourself to get pushed into PURCHASING any services/products while you are in this program. And, finally, choose a different program, not this one.
