Absolutely the best movers we have worked with yet. As a family who has had to move nearly a dozen times in the last 15 years, we’ve had some experiences.

We cannot express enough great words about the Star family. They just moved us over 1,200kms after loading and storing everything for a month. When using Star Transfer to move from Nelson to Vancouver Island, we initially thought their staff to be polite, hard working and organized, but HOLY SMOKES did we ever end up with a ton of broken stuff at the other end!!! Only after packing us up did they then inform us that the huge truck now holding our belongings was not the truck that would deliver it to the Island. Instead, everything would be moved by another crew to another truck the next day, because this one was needed elsewhere. Major red flag, but what could we do about it at that point?

When Star Transfer team #2 loaded our stuff into a storage locker on the Island, it stayed there until we moved into our new home 6 weeks later. While unloading our locker, the movers here (not Star Transfer) informed us they were finding a lot of broken items. Some were easily identified, others we discovered much later as we unpacked.

As the 90 day claim period loomed, we begrudgingly let it slide because we had so much going on at the time and identifying and documenting everything seemed a bit overwhelming since we weren't yet done unpacking. But when the list of broken items kept racking up, we contacted Star Transfer, roughly 3 weeks past the deadline, sending photos and an itemized list of damaged goods. We weren't asking to be reimbursed for everything (approx. $500 - $600 value), but some sort of apology and token compensation would have been appreciated. After all, we paid these guys nearly $9,000 to move us! Their response was basically too bad, so sad. They paid to have one broken bureau drawer repaired and that was it.

This company was a huge disappointment to us and if we had it to do over, we would definitely look elsewhere.

Company work with me to overcome conflicting dates required for move. All my belongings were well taken care of. Owner was in direct contact to ensure accuarcy of delivery details. Anyone needs a company to perform a relocation, Star Transfer is highly recommended.

We had Star Transfer move us on March 29th and they were fantastic!! We can not say enough about the quality & professionalism of this company. I was very worried about furniture getting damaged and there was NO damage to our furniture or our new home. Highly recommend!

Cliff went above and beyond doing our move to Campbell River via the disaster of a Hope Princeton highway during a miserable snowstorm.. Delivered on time was courteous during the packing and delivery. Hard working and ensures the customer knows what to expect. I'd recommend him to anybody. Great guy and very honest.
