Awesome vibe. A couple moved from Toronto to open up a shop here rooted in music and made with love and care. Plenty of seating. Incredible attentive service. The food was thoughtfully prepared. They have an ice cream shop beside it with big scoops. It was one of the best eggs benedict we've ever had. The veggie options were dynamite. We’ll be back.

Absolutely scrumptious meals, friendly service and good vibes! Smash burger and Club sandwich can be made vegan (plant based chicken and bacon) - portions are generous and flavours on point. Strongly recommend stopping by - don’t miss out!

What a find! Best Bloody Mary I've had in a LONG time - thanks to Ally. The BLT was great with the bakery fresh focaccia bread and an exceptional side salad. I can imagine myself returning to PEC just to go to Josh's.

A Genuine Review – No Discounts, No Freebies, Just Great Food and Service

This was our second visit to Josh’s Diner for breakfast—and that alone should speak volumes. Our first experience came after a disappointing meal at a local franchise, so we decided to give this local gem a try the following weekend as a “redemption breakfast.” Safe to say, it delivered.

I ordered the Carrying Place Breaky, while my partner had the Eggs Barrington with smoked salmon. Both dishes arrived hot and freshly made—not a hint of pre-cooked bacon (a personal culinary pet peeve of mine). The eggs were perfectly cooked sunny side up, and the potatoes were seasoned just right with full-bodied flavor and a crispy exterior.

The Eggs Barrington truly stole the show. The house-made hollandaise sauce was rich, velvety, and packed with flavour. It gave me that rare “forearm tingle” moment—when you know your brain is registering something exceptional. The eggs were poached to perfection, with yolks that oozed beautifully over the smoked salmon.

Service was equally impressive. You can tell there’s strong leadership and care behind the scenes—likely a reflection of the owners’ hands-on approach. The staff genuinely seemed happy to be there, and that energy translated into a warm and welcoming dining experience.

The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic, with classic oldies playing softly in the background—music that reminded me of the kind my mother used to play. It created a comforting, memory-filled atmosphere that added to the meal’s enjoyment.

Josh’s Diner is truly a standout in the area—a great example of how supporting local businesses can uplift a community. We’re already planning our next visit.

Amazing food, service, and menu. Had the smoked salmon benedict 🤌🏼 Feels like a classic diner out of the 80s inside. To take it to the next level they could stylize the decor and furniture a bit more. But only a minor observation.

Amazing experience. Chris was super patient while taking our order, and accommodating with all our requests. Food was fantastic. Try the chicken and waffles and fluffy pancakes

The wife and I visited here today and we both had the Chicken Club “Find Me In The Club Sandwich” and it was delicious. Our waitress recommended it and she was right … it was delicious!! I took a look at some of the breakfasts being served around me and they looked like I should eat them. The coffee was very good, so good I asked about it and they buy it from a local company.
Will definitely be back … it is awesome to have a quality diner open up in our community, support local.
