We arrived at this restaurant at noon on Saturday and sat for half an hour without being served even a glass of water. After my friend took his child to the restroom, I asked for four glasses of water, but they only gave us one. Then began the long wait for our food. We waited for a total of an hour and 30 minutes before all our dishes were served. The fruit beer recommended by the staff was too sour and not very good. The food tasted okay, but the service was really disappointing.

Welcome to my weekend visit to Ganaraska Brewing.

The beer was wet, cold and tasty. The food was surprisingly great especially given the reasonable prices.

I had the pulled pork sandwich...and other than just not being exactly how I like the taste profile to be...this was easily the best pulled pork sandwich I've had in Ontario that we didn't make ourselves.
The pork wasn't dried out and was smoked with lighter tasting woods. The sauce had little to no heat and very little vinegar...so not a hybrid sauce... leaning a little sweet.

My two friends had the chicken wrap and the smoked wings. Both had glowing reviews.

We will definitely be adding Ganaraska to the regular list.

Decent service, but the food took way too long. Arrived at 12:30, and our meal didn’t come until 1:48. The taste was just okay, but definitely not worth the long wait.

Nice brewery located just a little ahead of downtown but on way to lake trail. Has ample of parking space and selection of beers. The in house is expensive so I would suggest to buy cans and take it while strolling through the streets. Warm and patient staff . There's a patio also upstairs which I think opens in summer

What an amazing visit to this lovely Brewery. My wife Sandi discovered that Brewery on our way back from Oshawa GO station after picking up our daughter, towards Kingston where we live. Server Alex was spectacular and knew everything about all the craft beers and all were really really good. My wife and daughter tried a flight of beers and I had the Irishman and was amazing. So we took some merchandise home along with some cans. I spoke to the 3 chefs and told them the food we had was delicious. Made their day to hear positive feedback. Also met the owner and thanked him and told him we had a great visit and we will be going back for sure. Told him all his staff were great. Thanks again. Frank & Sandi.

My husband and I have been to this brewery quite a few times and the service is usually on par (and we love the beer). However, today it was not great. We came in at about noon with our baby and ordered 2 beers and a wrap to split. The beers came out right away, however we noticed it was taking an unusually long for our food to come out. But our waitress had walked by our table and assured us that our food would be right out. 10-15 minutes go by and still nothing. At this point we have been at the restaurant for almost an hour and our baby was starting to fuss so we asked our waitress if she could just cancel the order. She then went to the kitchen to look into what was going on and comes back with the bill for our 2 beers, and apologized to us because apparently our order had gotten lost. She then told us she removed the food off the bill as if that was a favour to us? I asked her if she could remove one beer off for the bill for the inconvenience to us and she did, but imo I shouldn’t have had to ask. Other than that she was pleasant and attentive but it seemed like she might had too many tables on the go for her to handle… maybe a short staff day?

Friendly Service and interesting menu.
We ordered the burrito and PEI mac n cheese as well as 2 beers. I would’ve liked a few more shrimps in mine 🙂 interesting and creative salads as a side.
Generous portions and good price.

Great spot in Port Hope. Sour beers were delicious and staff was friendly and efficient. Food was great! Lots of flavours and very fresh. Love their patio outdoors, although I recommend sitting downstairs as their upstairs menu is very limited. Also loved the Korean wings and the perrogies were to die for!
