I brought my daughters iPhone Mini to have the battery replaced. He made me sign a contract, which stated a P.E.S.T. clause. Pestering Employees Staff and Techniciens about when your product will be available will add an extra 5$ to your bill. I was not signing this contract until we understood that I would not be charged this fee. I also didn't want to sign until I knew he had the part. He said he "might" have it upstairs to which I asked him to verify that he had it.
My daughter and I waited for 15 minutes while he went to search. In the meantime his employee looked uncomfortable, seeing as the Boss just yelled at him in front of us to do his job well and he would not be telling him how to do it again. Made us uncomfortable too.

We were desperate for a battery because the long weekend was approaching, so everything would be closed by end of Friday.
He told us it would be 90.00$.

When he came back down he was empty handed but assured me that he had the part. Then changed the price to 100.00$. I asked if that was tax in? he said no. 113.00$ with hst.

He told my daughter it would be done by Friday, so that she could have it for the weekend. Even went as far as mentioning that it takes him a half hour to do, and he would do it right in the morning.

Friday rolls around, and no word from him. I show up after work to collect the phone that he verbally agreed to be ready, and when I show up it's that same worker who previously got yelled at to do his job well. I asked him where he is and he tells me, oh he's gone for the weekend. I am so upset I ask him to call his boss. He does, and he explains that "the girl for her iPhone mini is here.." I then interrupt to tell him to just give me my phone and my money back, because at this point there were already so many inconsistencies, and reading his reviews just made me feel less confident. He says no, that he already took it appart on his desk and that he will make a point to come in on Saturday of the long weekend to put the battery in. Like he said, only takes 30 minutes.

Annoyed, I leave.

Saturday comes, and still nothing.

I finally call at a quarter to five for him to then inform me that upon putting in the new battery, he broke my screen.
What? You broke the screen and didn't think to call and tell me?
Instead you have me wait around all day expecting to pick up the already late and promised phone just to have it broken?

He guarantees it will be finished my Tuesday since everything is closed Monday and no shipping.

Tuesday comes, and Tuesday goes. All weekend I am stressed over these interactions. I feel like I'm being toyed with and I just want what is mine, and the service I paid for.

No phone on Tuesday, the part will only get here Wesneday.

I started to question everything. Did he lie about having the part upstairs so he could have my business?
The Thursday, I even offered him an extra 20$ if he could do the job then and there seeing as he claimed to have the part.

It was 6pm, his shop closes at 8 and he said it only takes him a half hour, so clearly he knew we were desperate.

When I asked him for the phone and money back he said:
You signed the contract that I am entitled to have it for a week before giving you your money back, and your screen on your phone broke and I could charge you for that!
And you kept calling about your phone and you know we have a clause against that!

I was appalled. I would not be calling if I had my electronic device as discussed.
I told him I work at a law firm and this is illegal.
He said "Bring me to court!"
I said "Sir... for 100$?" that seems so ridiculous when you can just give me my phone back.

I felt like I he held my possessions hostage. It was a very uncomfortable feeling.

He then told his difficulties running a business, having incompetent employees who cannot handle customer service, and having a big order coming up. I sympathized, but I am your customer. Poor boundaries.

Overpriced, slow and inconsistent customer service make it hard for me to trust this business with my belongings in the future.

In October, it'll be two years (Oct. 2022) since I brought in my TV, and haven't received a single word of communication from the owner. I mean it, a single word.

That's not to say that I haven't talked to him, I have to call and initiate contact for any and all updates, mind you, despite the fact that I've repeatedly given my phone number as to let him, the serviceman, take it upon himself to keep me in touch and he simply never does. I have called, according to my phone, eleven times in the last two years for some form of an update to nothing. I even go in and get a shifty eye in response for when I confront him about this incredibly unprofessional and long delay of my repair. I still have my receipt, I still very much paid for the broken LED replacement for my TV that is, for all I know, sitting and gathering dust by the TV itself.

I've gone in to a list of excuses from him: "I got robbed", "I moved it to a new, bigger space to better work on it", "I got swamped with TV's", "it's a risky investment, TV repair", subtle hints that he regrets having initially offered the repair but hasn't offered me a refund/update/communication of any kind other than it's generally moving at a snail's pace in the right(?) direction? I don't know. I am given nothing definitive, no service, no communication, and no updates.

I'm a patient person. I'm a very forgiving person, a lot of times often to a fault, I give the benefit of the doubt and have for what I can literally say for years now and I'm just.. irritated? Annoyed? Fed up?

I would give zero stars if I could but he did fix my PS5's power thing that burnt out for, like, 70$, so.. I guess there's that.

I'm an easygoing person, it feels a little ridiculous to write a review, truth be told, but two years is more than enough time to have given me literally anything.

I wouldn't come here for repairs if you're about communication and would like updates; as you've read, I've had only the worst experience here.

EDIT: since my review made in August (and it’s Halloween tomorrow), they have yet to be contacted in any way, shape, or form.

Well, i didn't want to write this, but for the nerds out there, me being one myself. Maybe you should read this. So i read the reviews, and they are not very good, but i wanted to give this business the benefit of the doubt. All right, so april 8th is when i dropped my two controls off with parts, oh and paid right there!! i got the run around for a whole month with excuses and no explanation. Got a call may 6th that they are ready to pick up so i get to the shop the guy gives me the details and the has the nerve to tell me that it only took half hour to fix them. Got another call on the 8th telling us her forgot to put the screws back in one of the controls. Just saying!! If this guy wants good business, there should be a good turnaround time, if not give a discount on something in your store. Or at least half the money back just to compensate.

Employee was unfriendly and unknowledgeable about gaming controllers, they don't do refunds which can be confusing since their receipts don't say anything about not accepting refunds. Cashier offered to buy back a $50 controller for $5, which was originally sold under false pretences, they'll probably resell controller for the same $50 to another unsuspecting customer. The owner saying in a previous review that "We buy at higher prices than anywhere in town." But it certainly doesn't seem the case. The service raises red flags for bad business practice and bad customer service.

-Not a single price on anything, you have to look at a pricing website yourself then give him an extra 5$ to have had the privilege to look for your own price.

-Can't inspect the games, to verify them in anyway because you get reprimanded loudly.

Save yourself the hassle and buy online/pawn or altered.

(6 month update) I'm a little disappointed, one of the first things I asked when I went here is what price is this item, they then tell me they use the website "Pricecharting. com" for their prices.

That would be fine but the problem I have is the two last times I've been I've been they charged me the CIB (complete in box) prices for the loose games. DOUBLE CHECK THE PRICE YOUR SELF IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING FROM HERE!

You try to support local and you put your trust in them and their ability to price the games as they tell you they do but unfortunately I feel as tho they are taking advantage of their customers.

For that reason I'm lowering my rating.
