So yet another payment come out after I was informed it was finally canceled for good. Again, couldn't get Greenwood on the main phone nor my reps mobile. Ended up speaking to a fantastic lady in Wolfville who informed me they forgot to make the financial institution aware, only the actual insurance provider. Finally clear and should be getting a refund in 2 weeks time. Wolfille branch were super easy to deal with and understanding as it should be. THANK YOU!

Stay clear! Miserable experience.

Being new to the country and having family with them already I thought this would be a safe bet. NO!

Firstly the insurance I setup turned out to be hundreds more than quoted initially - when I enquired to why, they said it was delays in processing which is understandable, but treated me as a fool/inconvenience for asking why.

They passed me around a few times after this first issue, my previous rep obviously didn't care to deal with me. Months before my renewal I asked multiple times for my insurance to be canceled both over the phone and email... To my surprise a payment comes out and my policy is renewed!

I called right away and was practically accused of lying saying they had no notes of the many phone conversations we had nor the email - they blame you and give attitude as if you caused the problem. After showing the email proof of me asking for a cancelation they still couldn't admit fault and said things can be lost in communication - I was told they would do what they could. Didn't hear back from them and had to chase to see if they did cancel or not. Finally got ironed out but didn't reply to my further emails asking about a refund of my previous payment.

Not eager for new business, obviously don't care for their customers nor keeping them.

Hard to get ahold of on the phones in the best of times never mind if you have an issue. Thanks for my welcome to Canada.

Very strange experience. I've never had an associate try so hard to NOT generate business.
Objective: to insure dirtbike with liability coverage.
Strike 1: "we normally only quote people who have car insurance with us".
"That's funny, my wife received a quote yesterday".
"Well okay, sit down and I'll provide one".
Strike 2:
"I need to run a credit report on you"
"No thanks, I'll pay upfront"
"Well then, Insurance will cost you more".
Strike 3:
"Please provide insurance history for the last 10 years".
15 years provided as requested.
"I see you had an incident over 5 years ago..I'll include that incident anyways
Even though I am only required to provide incidents that are less than 5 years".
Strike 4:
"I need a picture of your motorcycles VIN"
Picture provided. (Black frame with the VIN stamped into it)
"Not clear enough"
End of communications.
Should have been: "please take another picture that's clearer or bring the motorcycle over to view the VIN".
At this point, I went to another broker and insured the bike within 15 minutes.
Pleasant enough to talk to...just an odd encounter, where it honestly felt I should have walked away at strike 1.
Lesson learned from my end.

I’ve used AA Munro for years for both auto and home insurance and they’re great….until you need something, try to get a hold of them, or just trying to catch them inside the building that they work in. There have been days in a row when no one answers the phone. You leave messages and no one gets back to you. Ive went to the building on several occasions to find out that no one is working, this happens often. Not just due to COVID. I’ve even had them hold up the closing for my house when proof of insurance was needed. Recently I went 2 weeks without a single email or callback. The employee was on vacation and forgot to leave an auto reply on email to let people know. Then acted as though I was being irrational for being upset about it. This caused major delays in other aspects of my life. If you call ANY other AA Munro in Nova Scotia you will be treated with fairness and respect. It is this location in particular that has absolutely terrible service. I’m not sure how they stay in business. DO NOT GO HERE

I have been dealing with AA Munro since they opened their Greenwood office, I'm guessing...a decade ago.
The service and response times are great; but I think the most amazing aspect of dealing with Rhonda Freeman over the years is that she conducts her business professionally. Even when she gets the feet kicked out from under her in her personal life or has to deal with messy situations in my life, she is resilient enough to speak to me professionally, without expressing frustration or impatience in her tone of voice.
I can always count on Rhonda to shop around to get me the best price/value for my insurance when I call to make an addition or renew a policy.
Kudos, Rhonda! Keep up the good work! You're a great insurance agent...a wonderful asset to AA Munro!

Dealing with Theresa Atwell during a customer service call made me feel like not only did I make the best decision to be with this company for my insurance, but that I also gained a new friend. This insurance brokerage company is slow, careless and places the mistakes of their brokers on the customers who wish to purchase insurance. When asking for an insurance quote, ensure that you state clearly that you wish to only receive a quote. If it's not clear, the broker may simply add the coverage to your insurance and send you the bill months later. This happened to me and instead of admitting fault, they sent my "outstanding amount" to a collection agency.

Also, it took nearly three months for me to receive my insurance documents after I had paid for coverage. Go elsewhere or deal with your insurance company of choice directly to avoid this costly and frustrating hassle. A.A. Munro, specifically at this location in Greenwood, NS, is not worth anyone's money or time.

Very fast and efficient service. I had no trouble with contacting them and didn't even need to go into the store. No hour wait times on the phone and they speak clear English unlike other companies. Also had a great rate and took the time to explain out any questions asked which was extremely helpful.
