Driving through Beaverlodge and my sleeping bag had a slight tear.. and there was a sewing store! Swung in and asked the owner if she could help me. She stopped what she was doing, at closing time, and repaired my bag free of cost!

A really nice gesture by a genuinely good person - cannot recommend highly enough.

I absolutely love Around the Block!! Their fabrics and colors are absolutely beautiful!! I’ve taken many courses there along with a few Quilt Til You Wilt days and have always had a great time and the food is always amazing!!! Erin and her staff go above and beyond to help you anyway they can!! This is always my go to store when looking for some new fabrics that I “must” have!! Now that they have online ordering I know I’m going to “need” some new fabrics for my stash!! If you’ve never been do yourself a favor and drop in whether you go to the store or you shop online, you won’t be sorry!!❤️❤️

I bought my first sewing machine at Around the Block almost two years ago. The service is awesome! I just had my machine in there for servicing and it was quick at a great price!! I have had the pleasure of taking a couple classes with Erin. Paper piecing! Erin loves to share her wealth of knowledge with all that that enter the door. Around the Block is a magical place. If you love textiles, colours and beautiful samples on display this is the place. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and want me to succeed with my projects. I'm a beginner and was worried at first- my worry didn't last long at all. I took my first paper piecing class and am already finished. Erin is so supportive and an amazing teacher. I highly recommend taking a class and I am all in with my quilting now with two new projects on the go.

An amazing quilt store that carries whatever you could possibly need, and if they don't have it they will order it in for you. Their selection of fabric is outstanding, second to none. Customer service is the best I've ever seen, someone is always there with a smile willing and able to help. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!!

My favourite place to be, I have been going to this fabulous store for a few years, the classes are amazing, and always fun and upbeat, it’s a place to hug the fabric and sooth the soul. The staff are the best and are so willing to help you on your next project with fabric, patterns and their sewing experience and in my case the error of my ways when it does not fit.
