I was a little worried after reading some recent reviews, however my iPad pro screen was cracked and needed replacing. Five days after taking it in, the screen was replaced for the price that was quoted. Would highly recommend.

I never write reviews unless they are positive but felt I should write one about Bill and Dave computer repair. I brought my Nintendo switch there and it was there for over a month, back and forth about diagnosing the board etc. and finally it was "repaired" . I picked up the device after paying 200+ dollars to repair it. Brought it home, worked for 30 minutes and then it stopped again. I brought the machine back again. A week passed, no contact no nothing. I just gave up and said the hell with it, had I known this I would have just bought a new machine. The owner (at least I think he was the owner) said he would reimburse me a portion of the amount I paid. Nothing. Communication is not good at all and I felt like the I was low on the priority chain. Very dissapointing. I would be very careful if you are bringing a nintendo there. Perhaps they are great with computers but the level of service I received was actually mind boggling and really made me upset.

Don’t go there. It’s the worst service I have ever experienced. I have a tablet stuck there for almost a month, despite paying them upfront $500. Also, you can’t reach them on the phone and the status website is nonfunctional. And getting a status by email takes forever.

Some say the repairs were well done, that is if you ever see your device again. I trusted them but they failed me.

Avoid that place. As for myself, I’ll probably end up buying a new device and losing $500 on top of that.

Edit: I finally got my iPad back after one month and it was fixed correctly.

My opening statement is this:
Bill and Dave Computer Repair Inc is exceptionally professional and proficient. I have come away extremely satisfied every time I have solicited their services. More on that later.

But, like any establishment, there are a few downsides.

To begin with, if you have a general query, it's very difficult to get to a person over the phone (unless you have an extension number). After a few tries, I was able to circumvent that problem by punching in 4 and then 1. Apparently, they want that you visit their website and write about the issues you're having with your desktop/laptop, and they then text you an appointment. Understandably, this is a good way of streamlining work (especially if the clientele is huge -- which is a good sign). Nevertheless, this is nothing close to being able to talk to a person to get an appointment. It's as if there aren't any establishments around in this city (however busy) that does that.

The other downside is the point-of-contact between a staff and a client. It's an area, about 6' x 6' with hardly any standing room, and at the base of a long staircase. The payment station added in there, makes matters worse. I'm sure this establishment has a good enough reason for such an arrangement.

And now the happy story. Both my wife and I encountered problems with our laptops and this was an emergency since we both work from home. I used the 4-1 trick to get to Shuki who connected me to Milan -- who was extremely helpful, and answered all my questions patiently. When he heard it was an emergency, he bypassed all the red tape and asked me to bring our laptops over. The person at the claustrophobic point-of-contact was the pleasant and helpful Shuki, who made up for all the downsides, and made us feel like we were on top of the world. Long story short, our problems were solved adequately and expertly within 4-5 hours. My hats off to Milan and Shuki. Thank you!

Overall, (despite the downsides) this is the place to go to, with any computer issues, and it'll be taken care of. Period.

I traveled with my PS4 in my luggage, and upon arrival, it wouldn't accept disks. I had searched several different shops and mobile options, and decided to call Bill & Dave, because honestly it was easy to contact them and I'd rather speak to a human being and get information and etc, rather than filling out a form and having an interaction through emails.

I'm not from Ottawa and I was worried about getting ripped off or any bad experiences, or not getting it fixed before I had to leave.

When I called, I was greeted by a wonderful woman on the telephone who was kind and courteous and patient, and most of all informative and honest. She was quite soothing actually and she explained the whole pricing process, diagnostic, etc, gave me information about paying an extra fee for 24 hour turn around because I inquired (she was actually so nice she said save your money we don't usually recommend people pay extra for console repairs). The interaction with her alone was enough for me to decide that I was going to bring my PS4 to their shop.

The next day I drove down and brought the PS4 with me. I rang the intercom button and was greeted by a super cool and funny guy who was jovial and made me laugh and just added to the vibe the lady on the phone created by making me feel reassured. There was an intuitive feeling that they would fix it, fix it well, and it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. In fact I decided to pay the 24 hour extra fee (I really wanted to play and I was leaving next week so I didn't wanna risk not getting the system back). We had some cool conversations about hip-hop and names and etc and I was on my way out the door.

THEY LITERALLY CALLED ME LIKE 4-5 HOURS LATER TO COME GET MY PS4 😎 it was fixed and ready for pick up...THE SAME FRIGGIN DAY 🤯 I drove down, the same cool cat from before brought me my console, showed me the clean up work and explained what they did, inserted a disk, and also confirmed they have a 6 MONTH WARRANTY on repairs!!! Every other place I researched was 3 months MAX.

If I could give you guys more than 5 stars I would. 10/10, I will recommend you to any and everyone and I am a loyal customer of yours now! Anything I ever need electronics wise when in town, and any friends of mine will be told...my only issue is you guys aren't called Bill & Ted so I could say...EXCELLENT!

I dropped off an iPad for repair and at first their service was first rate. Then we left the machine with them when we were out of town and they have ghosted us. They have not responded to repeated texts and emails. The situation is still ongoing as I write this. Bill and Dave, if you are unable to fix the device just say so!

Update: 2023-10-23

I finally reached them by ignoring the voice mail maze by calling their emergency after hours number. I finally got some information about my device. They said they hadn’t updated the status because the status hadn’t changed. For five weeks! They are trying to source a part, so I understand that it will take some time. But to leave a customer hanging for 5 weeks with no news is poor service.
