I had a fantastic service today at Bit by bit Computer Services. My data transfer from hard disk from my damaged computer was smooth, efficient and very fast. I really appreciated the service by John. I would highly recommend this store!

Looked up their times and they were supposed to be open until 530pm I drove there at 445 and they were closed and no one answered the phone also on the sign it said open until 530pm. I will never come back to this place ever again. Horrible service

Amazing experience with John the owner, I brought my gaming laptop to him a few times and he’s always quick, thorough, and really takes the time to explain the issue and how to keep the performance of the computer running smoothly. I highly recommend as the customer service and price is absolutely wonderful!

I had a great experience!! My computer was having a big issue that I could not fix no matter what I tried. They fixed it and made my computer almost like new again 🙂 Great customer service as well. I will definitely go back to Bit by Bit and would recommend them to anyone.

John was awesome. Found the problem and mixed it fast. Very reasonable price.

I had gone to Best Buy and they were kind of clueless. They said it would take them 2 weeks and be over $200.

Thank goodness I went here instead.

I came back to John again. Had an issue, he fixed it quickly and was able to save me money using a used part that he warrants for a year.

I contemplated writing this negative review as I know it's a small family owned business but ultimately decided I wanted to share my experience so that other people don't have to go thru what I went thru.

I came here Oct 2023 when my dell laptop's hinges broke unexpectedly. The broken hinges made it so that I could not even physically open my laptop so I looked up a few places in hopes of salving my laptop since it was only a year old. I did see the negative reviews but I took those reviews to be a one-off and took my chances. John told me that this was a common issue with newer dell laptops due to cheaper materials being used but would be able to fix it.

Long story short, the other reviews are correct in that it is very difficult to get a hold of John. I have called multiple times, left many messages, and he has never once proactively communicated with me. The few times that I was able to get a hold of him was in the blue moon luck that he picked up the phone. It should be noticed that this required my calling daily at this point. It was always "it's getting fixed", "still working on it".. etc. Eventually in Dec he told me that he was able to fix the hinges but that my laptop would not turn on, and because he was out of luck, he told me to come by the store to pick up my laptop the next day. When I arrived and was waiting for my laptop, another unhappy customer showed up and started communicating his unsatisfactory experience to John... it was the same issues that I was facing with John - unanswered phone calls, false promised solutions that kept getting delayed, lack of communication, stalling month after month. This customer also had an issue with his hinges as well. Eventually that visit resulted in John telling me that he would order a motherboard for me that would arrive by Jan 2024, and that would fix my new problem of not being able to turn on the laptop. I was very skeptical of anything that John promised at this point. I should also note that when he returned my laptop, the hinges were 'fixed' but the quality left very little to be desired. The laptop hinge looks like it can fall off at any point. As well, I am someone who takes care of my electronic devices, but when I got my laptop back, there were scratches all over the top.

it is now Jun 2024. I have called John numerous times, as well as left numerous messages. I have not heard back from him. Apparently the only way to may be get into contact with him is if you camp outside of his storefront. I guess it's a lesson learn to believe the negative reviews when you read them.

Please avoid this place. Take your equipment elsewhere to be fixed.

Nice guy but that’s probably the only positive thing I can say about my experience with Bit by Bit. That was hands down the most unprofessional and unreliable business I have ever come across. HORRENDOUS communication skills; I was left in the dark not knowing what was happening with my computer for months after I was told I would receive a call to follow up the next day. After a couple weeks of hearing nothing I had to start calling every single day multiple times a day and even stopped by the shop 2 separate times to try to get ahold of somebody to get any kind of update about what was going on but NOTHING. I was convinced for a while that I would never get my laptop back again. Eventually after a months I finally heard back and my computer was fixed after weeks of this (or so I thought) as now only less than 2 months later my computer isn’t working again. I wanted to support this small business but that was a mistake and I should’ve trusted the negative reviews. Avoid this place it’s not worth the headache just to get a bit of a better deal, especially given the fact that it might not even be permanently fixed. Super disappointed in the service I received.
