City of Cambridge permit department , Is not knowledgable unknowing how the proper proceedings go for permits and so on, We have been dealing with the city since July to get permits. We have provided the right proper documentation, They are making it difficult to resolve this issue, which is holding up the sale of our property. We are not happy with this proceeding and may have to use our our representative now , if you want to do Things with the right way with permits and stuff the city hall is not the place to go

Cambridge city Bylaw is Very difficult to work with are Trying to force us to remove something in our basement that was our existing when I bought the property and my son has Mobile issues and also I am the age of 68 years old. They are asking us to take the walls down our self.
Before you buy a property in Cambridge think twice this is one of the horrible cities I’ve ever had to live. It’s very disturbing that they are not easy to work with considering they all live in the same neighbourhoods as us we have lost total respect for the building code Department
We have contacted the local news about the matter that we’re having with Cambridge by law building code department, They have gone above and beyond to make things difficult. We real feel, this is a human rights case now , Just please think twice before doing any projects around your house we had our neighbour call on us considering that we didn’t do any work except the local contractors that we hired now we’re out thousands and thousands of dollars due to their inspectors being lack of training and also Not knowledgable,

I want to specifically acknowledge Lorena Grech in Building Services for her great support in getting me the information I needed to install a fence on my property. I was trying to get everything arranged before taking possession to expedite the installation as soon as possible after moving in. Lorena was patient with all my questions, and helped me get everything lined up prior to moving in. On closing date, she ensured I got exactly what I needed within minutes of submitting the request form – amazing and very timely responsiveness!

Horrible customer service I left three or four messages at least and no one responds back about parking signs going up in streets this pathetic city of Cambridge, get better service , not sure why no one is in the office answering calls just ridiculous customer service " city of Cambridge thrives to provide customer service". That's there ..'quote '.
You better work on that, it needs alot of work

I went on 2nd june and I can’t explain how good was my experience with (Maureen ) such an amazing lady with an excellent personality and more over very professional on her job.

It’s really great to have an amazing employee like Maureen who can explain to you all the information with happiness.

They gave me a parking ticket even though I had a visitor pass and followed the rules. I appealed it, but they rejected the appeal. I got a letter from them today saying that I can appeal one more time within 10 days of their decision. Funny how the mail comes in 2 full weeks after their decision was made, making it impossible for me to appeal. Not much I can do at this point, but I will definitely be staying in Boston next time and won't be spending a dime in the City of Cambridge ever again. I will, however, make brief visits to see the wild turkeys, but I'll pack my lunch.
