I recently had a tour of the Cambridge Food Bank and learned so much! The following week I took a tour of RARE farms who grows organic food for the Cambridge food bank. The farm was beautiful and it was really fun to volunteer to harvest garlic. I had no idea that this existed!! I highly recommend visiting the Cambridge food bank and also Rare farms.

Lisa was an absolutely disrespectful person to have experienced at the food bank. I don’t know how someone could go so wrong and be so disrespectful towards someone that she is serving. Would rather drive anywhere else than experience this woman ever again in my entire life!

I had an experience in which I watched a paid staff give a potential new employee tour of the facility

It was the conversation very off putting

Listening to the staff talk about how much she hates dealing with the public more specifically the community pantry
And how volunteers just don't show up

Her tone was quite Derogatory

I'm just shocked a paid staff member would so openly speak like that

I get so much fruits and veggies and they give me good food. I come 1 time a month for the food mobile market and food bank usually on a Thursday.

I wanted to personally know what people feel and experience here. The lineup moved up so quickly that before I knew it, it was my turn. I was greeted in the most friendly manner.
The staff there is well-versed in making every individual feel comfortable at a time of crisis. Too many people feel shunned by simply thinking of going to places for help. There is no need to feel shunned here. Everyone, no matter race or creed, is welcomed here.

What a disgrace! Opening at noon on a Monday morning? What the hell is the matter with you people, that is too bloody late!
Should be opening at 9AM everyday to serve the needy!
