My daughter and I had a lovely experience here. The two front desk ladies (day time) were amazing. We originally came for one night and changed our length of stay twice and were accommodated even with a nearly booked hotel. The man at the front also gave my daughter endless toys from the toybox behind the desk which brightened her days.
The rooms were tidy, pool was fun and the breakfast was great 🙂

I had a fantastic experience at the Rocky Mountain Hotel. We were a group of 7 families, and the staff were professional, guest-obsessed, and the hotel was neat and clean. This was my first time at Canalta and i am sure i am going to be their long-term fan. I must say i left my laptop charger, and the team was so hospitality-focused that they sent it to my place in Calgary. I can never forget how i felt and was so impressed and wish to give them anything more than five stars.

The property is set in a beautiful area. However, the hotel itself is tired and run down. The carpet is about 10 years past being replaced. The furniture, the same. It was fairly clean so that was nice. The first night of our visit- (we were there for 3 days for a family reunion) there was a smoke alarm malfunction and the entire hotel was rudely awakened at 4 am. We had to evacuate and stay outside for well over an hour while the fire department cleared the hotel. I still don't know why the alarm went off. No one ever informed us. I know it was just one of those things but it interrupted everyone's sleep. Try to go back to sleep after that! I feel like some sort of price adjustment should have been given but no one was given anything. Speaking of price. This place was not cheap. When we checked in , I secured the room with a credit card. I wanted to pay with my debit card but said that wasn't allowed but I could pay with it when I checked out. So I did. However apparently they do not know how to take the charge off your credit card and change to the debit card because the room for 3 nights was still charged to my credit card AND I was charged to my debit card. So essentially I paid twice. Luckily I have a good credit card company and was able to get my money back for the second charge from them. All in all , I would not stay there again.

Some places only change out the rooms every 3 days because of being short staffed. CanAlta the room was addressed every day. I don't know how they kept up with the demand, but the staff in that department were amazing. The front desk were extremely helpful and extremely pleasant.

I've stayed here two summers in a row with husband and 2 kids and we'll be making this a yearly stay-cation. The rooms are nice, beds are fairly comfortable. The kids LOVE the waterslide! The breakfast is meh but should get you full enough. (cereal, toast, a few juices....the eggs are from a carton, hash browns not cooked enough). Overall definitely recommend this hotel!

I always had a fantastic stay at the Canalta Rocky Mountain House. The location is perfect, it is near where I work. My room was always well kept and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations and assistance. I always enjoy the delicious breakfast buffet but maybe add more fruits or include soup in the meal but overall, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend it!"

Staff: very friendly, accommodating and professionalism staff, especially Darcy and Anita who surprised and welcomed me with flowers.

This is an average hotel. Clean rooms, no frills. There were a lot of rig/work crews there when we stayed, all respectful and nice but do dominate common and eating areas at different times when shift changes are taking place. The breakfasts are basic, although there is not a dairy free option for cereals/coffee/etc. When I asked about it was told to "notify in advance" but even with a multi-day trip no offer made to provide one (so I guess onus is on guests?). Pool is VERY COLD. It is also too deep for any child under 5 even in the shallow end.

Nice room, clean with everything you need for a short stay. |Staff were friendly and polite. |My only complaint will be the breakfast, it was cold, unorganised, with one lady rushed to keep up with demand. A limited choice with no fresh fruit.|Very disappointed for the price, and size of hotel.
