On his very first "boys" trip to take my 78 year old dad up to the lake to go fishing, my 18 year old son had planned and saved for this getaway with his Grandpa for some time. He prepped his car and got an oil change and checked the tire pressure and even gave it a wash so his Grandpa would be safe and comfortable on the 5 hour drive. He did all the right things. They left early in the morning from Burnaby and by the time they got to Hope, they noticed smoke coming from the car. Stopping to check it out they quickly noticed that oil had leaked all over the bottom of the car and when checking the dipstick, there wasn't any reading on the stick; it was empty! They put a quart of oil in it and stopped at a local shop in Hope where they were turned away and then tried Canyon Automotive next. They also said that they were booked for days. But for some reason - the gentleman there turned around and changed his mind and offered to have a look. The car was hoisted onto the lift and the diagnosis was a very obvious and simple case to diagnose. The drive through oil change place had almost not screwed on the oil filter and all of the oil was drained and spewing all over the bottom of my sons car, burning and causing the smell, smoke and near disastrous situation of running a car for a long road trip with no oil. Canyon Automotive changed the filter, fitted it properly, topped up the oil and then even cleaned the bottom of his car.

I don't know your name, but for whatever reason you decided to help my son and my dad despite how busy you were, and you alone saved their very special boys fishing trip. You helped them create such special memories and I am truly grateful for your kindness and compassion. THIS is service. This is more than service - you could have just left it at: we are too booked and can't get you in. But you didn't.

Although there was only one fish caught on their trip, it was caught in your honour, because if it weren't for you, there wouldn't have been one single bite, and there wouldn't have been a trip at all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so grateful to know there is good people out there and that the two most important men in my world got these two days to fish on the lake together, thanks to you.

I didn't actually stop at Canyon Automotive.
My truck broke down on the highway while heading to Vancouver Island, cooling system issue, blown gasket or water pump.
I called them first thing in the morning and they were unable to get me in
They DID however, point me in the direction of another mechanic shop that had the extra space to ensure I was able to get in my way.

This is professionalism at its best.

And if their work is as good as their customer service, this place deserves your business

I came from Vernon to purchase a used car and booked an inspection at Canyon Auto. From start to finish this experience was 10/10. From booking with the lovely receptionist to having the mechanic kindly take me into the shop and show me exactly the pros/cons of the car, everything was honest and above board. I even got a follow up call suggesting a few good cars to look into buying. Can't say enough good things! Well done Canyon.

Wonderful, kind and effective support. On our drive from Vancouver, three warning lights appeared, one of them flashing worryingly. A local cafe staff member recommended Canyon Automotive. Sure enough, one of the mechanics immediately came out with a diagnostic panel to check the sensors (even though the garage was very busy). He found nothing problematic so reset the sensors. Canyon Automotive would not accept payment. I was so glad of their generous and valuable help.

Walked into Canyon for an out of province inspection reception staff very friendly found me an appointment within the week. Inspection and minor repair completed in the same day, Cost of repair very fair! Would recommend!
