Castle Rock offers 2 types of soil: topsoil and garden soil.
Garden soil is advertised as suitable for raised beds and gardening in general, just what we were looking for. Turned out the material delivered was full of loamy clumps and small rocks! We tried to make do with it, worked hard to get rid of the worst clumps and bigger rocks, mixed the soil with peat moss and compost to accommodate our beds. 3 weeks into seeding and planting we find the soil extremely compact, dense, heavy and crusty, not ideal for gardening and not what we expected of garden soil at all! So: not a good value at all!
Another note on the delivery: the scheduled date got moved about 3 times, in the end the load got delivered at 10pm on a Friday night.
All in all no good grades for product quality, customer service and communication.

UPDATE: thank you, Castle Rock!
In the meantime they called to ask thoroughly about our experience. What seems to be rare these days: they apologized and acknowledged that things went wrong on their side; they explained the reasons behind and shared their plans to improve the quality of topsoil they carry. They also offered an in kind compensation.

The conversation impressed us greatly, it makes us change our judgment of communication and customer service to an "excellent" i.e. 5 stars; we leave this review with 2 stars, because people tend to read the not so good ones, and they will see this update.

Once Castle Rock will have improved their garden soil by screening it and mixing it with peat moss, it will likely be a great choice for garden beds.
