I have to be completely honest about this. I sometimes find it hard for me to face the truth. I was just here earlier on today to speak with the staff there, regarding my educational concerns and unfortunately I was met with a different level of a lesser respect. Maybe it’s because of the hard times that we’re all in. I thought that this college was supposed to be a respectful place, but I’m not so sure about that now. I’m hoping that when I return here this September I’ll have a better experience without being treated like I’m annoying. Thank you. 🤨 you would think that me being a mature student would have a positive impact on this college experience but I was wrong about that. What a shame. Well, I know who I am and that’s all that really matters.

Belleville is a nice place to stay, especially if you're here on a work permit. However, Loyalist College falls short in several areas—particularly in the management programs. Some professors show clear favoritism towards Canadian students, often discriminating against international students, which creates an unfair learning environment.
Additionally, many of the college's advertised facilities exist more in name than in practice. For instance, access to proper medical services is practically nonexistent.
The student life committee (Loyalist Life) also leaves much to be desired. During events, members often prioritize themselves—saving food to take home rather than distributing it fairly among all attendees. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the community spirit that a college should foster.
I currently stay in residence at Loyalist College, and unfortunately, my experience has not been positive. The residence staff often behave rudely, especially towards international students, and we are not treated with the same respect as others. Additionally, RLAs frequently put unnecessary pressure on students, even when assigned weekly tasks have already been completed. There is also noticeable favoritism, with international students being treated unfairly.

To make matters worse, for the May 2025 intake, the college has made residence free for incoming students, while those of us already living here are being charged nearly double the rate. This feels extremely unfair and raises questions about how current students are being valued.

If you're considering the ECE program, specifically ECED, I strongly recommend looking for another college. This program doesn't seem to offer anything valuable—it's just endless reading with no real learning. If you decide to withdraw early, you'll still be required to pay for the entire semester, plus additional fees for each dropped course. This policy makes no sense, especially for an online program where you're not taking someone else's spot. The professors don’t do much beyond telling you what to read and copy-pasting materials. The assignment instructions are unclear, and if the entire program is just reading articles, then what’s the point of enrolling in this college in the first place?

Such a ridiculous management!!! They have no idea how to organize convocations. The management sucks in this college. So many parents of all the international students were not allowed inside the hall as they had the entire space packed up. No organization on how many people are allowed and no one was given a prior notice that there is certain limit. They overcrowded people and made these parents see the entire thing virtually like whats the point flying from across the country and not being able to see your kid graduate. HIGHLY SUGGEST RATHER GO TO AN ORGANIZATION WHO KNOW HOW TO MANAGE AND ARE EQUAL TO EVERYONE. THIS PLACE SUCKS, GREEDY PEOPLE JUST WORKING FOR THE MONEY COMING FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS💯
