Bought a Hobie Outback at Cottage Toys this April (2024) only to find it did not come with the standard turbo fins. Wrote to the owner he said that he will get the correct item for me from Hobie.

After trading a few emails, he went dark and never respond to my emails in demand for the status.

THIS IS TO FOLLOW UP ON THE ABOVE ISSUE.

RECEIVED A FOLLOW UP CALL LAST WEEK (FEB 21, 2025) REGARDING WHY THEY DID NOT COME BACK TO ME...AS THERE'S BEEN MIS-COMMUNICATION WITHIN THEIR OPERATION HENCE THE ISSUE WAS NOT PICK UP AND FOLLOW UP.

APOLOGY ACCEPTED AND THEY JUST SENT ME (VIA EXPRESS COURIER) THE TURBO FINS. SATISFIED WITH THE FINAL OUTCOME AND IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE.

THIS SHOWS THAT COTTAGE TOYS REALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR COMMITMENTS TO MAKE CUSTOMERS SATISFIED ON THEIR SERVICES AND CARE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We rented two paddle boards for the day. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rental rates were also reasonable compared to prices in the GTA. Highly recommend checking out Cottage Toys!

We had a great experience at Cottage Toys! A super knowledgeable employee helped us out, and knew everything there was to know about the kayaks. I wish I got his name, he was a tall, blonde, young man. I wish more stores had employees as helpful as him!

We recently had a warranty issue with our "Wow Tube" and the service from the team at Cottage Toys in Lakefield was superb. Great to see a company stand behind their products. We have made a few purchases here over the past year and the knowledge of their staff is exceptional. We would highly recommend Cottage Toys to others interested in quality cottage gear.

Had an absolutely great experience with Cottage Toys in Lakefield. I ordered online and they assisted to get the product pulled same day for me (as they had it availbile in store). Both employees that assisted (Brooke and Andrew) were knowledgeable and attentive to my questions.

Great choices on rentals, only concern is when I picked up my rental, they wrote down my visa card information including CVV. Not sure why this is needed since I used my CC to rent online with my information. Did not feel at all safe knowing that my CC information was now written down on a piece of paper with CVV.

Great new location! Our first chance to check out the new location in Lakefield since Covid. Had to pick up some boat toys! Great selection. Staff were really nice and helpful explaining everything. Nice selection of summer active wear as well.

Cottage Toys is an incredible store. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful. If you’re looking for a great experience, it’s worth the drive to Lakefield.
