While travelling the Sunshine Coast to visit family, I stopped into the library. I work at the library in my home town and have been visiting libraries along the way from Manitoba. Staff member Andrea chatted with me and gave me a Gibson's Area Library bumper sticker. I had a quick look around - there was a jazz concert going on!! - but as a traveller I felt under-dressed to stay. Andrea was warm and friendly and interested in my travel tales. What a lovely looking branch. Thank you for the library joy such a long way from home!

Dropped in to see Frances Nahanee speak today! It was amazing to hear the family cultural historical summary of Squamish people’s use of this land. It was a full crowd with a wait list and I was so proud of Frances! The library will be ordering the @SquamishNation history book! Thank you

Lovely library but its incredibly loud. Children constantly running around and screaming, people taking calls on speaker, etc. Occurs everytime I go....Why not use the secondary room as a quiet room when not being used for reading and studying?

Stopped in on a rainy day while visiting for the weekend with my toddler. Great kid’s selection, with a large bead coaster table that was a big hit. Views are amazing.

This is a Shout Out to the folks with the Volunteer Income Tax Program at the Gibsons Library, who prepare and e-file tax returns for Seniors in need of help. They have filed my taxes for me twice in the past 4 months, probably saving me from paying around 150 bucks each time at the big, Brand-Name tax prep office. A very positive experience! BY THE WAY...A WORD ABOUT THE BUS ROUTE...
Following the route given by Google for the #1 Sechelt Local, I got off at Gower & Winn and have walked back up the hill, as well as up the long stairway, with a fake knee and swollen feet. I now know that if I got off one block sooner, at Gower & Prowse, at the top of the hill, I could have walked less than a block up a gentle slope to the library. The exercise did me well, anyway!

I like this library; my only complaint is that it is very noisy. Adults and kids are chatting incredibly loud and the library is actually more noisy than the outside.
