One of their service vans almost hit me at the corner of Teeple St. and Dundas St. in Woodstock yesterday afternoon. I was in the crosswalk with the riight of way, he was turning from Dundas to head
south on Teeple but was looking east down Dundas at some womans rear end.
My next message is going to be address to the Woodstock Police Services. I have to give a star to write this but rarely do I give a star for someone almost killing me with their service van.

It was a pleasure working with Hunt Homes in the process of building and purchasing our home. The communications, client platform for progress updates, choices of finishes and workmanship is top notch. They took their time to walk through the house for any deficiencies and address any issues right away. We are truly enjoying not only our community but our home.

The team at Hunt Homes sets the standard that all home builders should aspire to achieve.

Very early on, Steve and Darlene put us at ease with the level of care and attention provided through our communications.

Even though we had no familiarity with the process of having a home built, we felt informed and empowered during the entire process.

Any trepidation that my wife and I had at the start of the process was quickly replaced with confidence and sheer excitement because of the level of customer service provided.

Further to the customer service, the craftsmanship of the home was fantastic!
The quality of work, materials and presentation created a home that surpassed our expectations.

We are filled with awe and pride to be owners of such a beautiful, high quality home.

A big thank you to all of the people at hunt homes that made our dreams a reality.

I highly recommend Steve Hunt and the Hunt Homes team to anyone looking to own a high quality home that they can be proud of.

We built a custom home with Hunt Homes. Along the way we had a few unforeseen setbacks with our property but Hunt Homes was willing and eager to work with us to resolve the issues. Their expertise of building guided us through our building issues. Steve and Harold were very helpful and were always in touch with updates on the project. We were extremely happy with the end result. We would recommend Hunt Homes to anyone whom is constructing a house.

Dear Steve at HuntHomes,

I am writing due to the condition of the countertops in my house at 61 Lock Street, Innerkip, ON. Countertops have gaps and is genuinely concerned about the condition and the lifespan of the countertops.
On your website, I have noted that HuntHome ensures good quality service and expresses that customers are left happy.
However, I has informed you that I yet to experience this happiness with your service.
After numerous attempts by me trying to reach out to your builder/company to fix the quality of the job, no solution was presented forth.
We must come to a resolution effective immediately. We would like the countertops to be inspectated and a solution to be made.
Please contact me as soon as
possible.

Five years ago, my husband and I were looking to purchase our very first home together. We searched high and low and went to many open houses and decided on a townhome with Hunt Homes as they stood out among the rest. When we got pregnant a few years later and were looking to find our forever home for a growing family, we did not hesitate to build with Hunt Homes again as Steve and his team build incredible, quality homes and we were very happy with our experience in the townhome. What's most impressive is what Steve offers as "standard" in his homes whereas many other builders we had originally checked out charge so much in upgrades. Overall, our new little family is very happy and cozy in our new home. We highly recommend them!

I have been debating posting this review for a few days now but I feel like this is necessary due to the amount of issues and stress we are currently dealing with. When you build a brand new home, issues are expected but we feel that we had to deal with an excessive amount of fairly large problems. Many of these problems could have been avoided had the parties involved had paid more attention to detail to ensure things were done correctly.

Our issues began pretty much from day one. We were originally told that our deposit was due in two payments (one right when you go firm and the second 3 months before closing). This was incorrect and the second installment was actually due three months after the first (making that payment due 4 months earlier). When we were signing our paperwork, my husband's legal name was spelled incorrectly throughout all of the documents and the fee for the premium lot was actually missing (we were the ones who noticed and pointed that out). It was a bit alarming that the people selling these homes were making these mistakes, but we just assumed these were small mix ups and didn't think much of it. However, after everything was signed and we were legally firm, we discovered that the lot we chose (which was the reason for buying this home) actually had a sewer grate and easement on it. We were never notified of this and were actually told that the easement and sewer were on the lot beside it (there was also no mention of an easement in our contract). Because we were already firm, our only option was to hope the sewer wouldn't affect anything or chose another lot that we didn't like as much as the original. Hunt did allow us to change lots (which we were grateful for), but again we were disappointed about losing the lot we primarily purchased the home for.

We continued to have issues once the house was built. Our custom built oven hood was installed incorrectly and had to eventually be modified to fit the space it was supposed to be in. There was also a miscommunication regarding the $850 stain we chose for our garage door. We had wanted our front door and garage doors to match and they are total opposites. We are now forced to spend even more money to either have it painted or the door changed completely.

The worst issue of all has been that our beautiful white granite (that we paid extra to upgrade for) had five large yellow and green stains all around the parameter. No one will come forward to admit what it was stained with, so we don't know if it was something like coffee or a potentially harmful chemical that is now seeped into the countertops that we frequently touch, prepare food, etc. Castlestone has been excellent about trying to remove the stains, however this process has been going on for a week and a half with no end in sight (due to the stains being stubborn). It is very disappointing to be in your brand new home with multiple areas of your countertops you can't use and the stress of not knowing if you will have to live with having stained granite or if your kitchen has to be ripped apart so they can be completely changed. The granite technicians are also fairly certain that whatever stained this sat on the counter in multiple areas for days or weeks and no one bothered to wipe it up or notify anyone. It is very sad that people were aware of this but chose to ignore it and we discovered it during our PDI.

There were additional smaller things that were acceptable problems and Hunt has fixed them promptly. Our home is beautiful and well built however at this price point we should have never had to deal with these things. It is heartbreaking to continuously be disappointed every time you would come to see the progress of your brand new house to discover that something else was wrong, installed incorrectly or outright damaged. Like I said, we are living here now and are still dealing with these issues. What should have been a happy and exciting experience has been stressful and disappointing. I have yet to determine if this was worth it.
