Thanks to our pilot Sam, had a great trip to see the magnificent Mount Logan! It was a beautiful day and awesome to learn about the local geography. Lucky enough to have good weather!
Consider adding an extra 10-15 mins into your estimated travel time to the airstrip as there is on going road works.

I tended not to give a negative review, given that they operate at a remote location and the communication before the flight was good. However, I must give a three-star review given the three facts. First, one of the male staff members was cold despite the fact that I had made a reservation in advance (several months). Further, I am not sure what exactly his role is in the team, except for weighing passengers. Second, the prior communication was to put us in a private group. Yet, on the day of the flight, we were not alone, and with three others, we made it a group of six. I am fine with a larger group, but more business smart if they could inform us in advance (several hours for instance). Then, the aircraft is extremely tight, and the window is not as clean as some of the other tours we joined. These combinations made it very difficult to take good pictures.

Other reviewers here justifiably praise their experience on the flight tours into the icefields of Kluane Park in the shadow of Mt Logan. Many landed at the base camp and enjoyed a short time on the ground to walk about, marvel at the views and take memorable photos. We were two of those who opted to stay for a couple of nights at the camp and experience the majesty of the surroundings for an extended period. Waking up to a sun-bathed ocean of snow surrounded by Mt Logan, Mt Queen Mary and other mountains, as well as numerous nunataks (peaks of smaller mountains poking through the snow) was extremely special. Skiing or snowshoeing to some of the closer features added greatly to the experience. Our leader/guide, Sian Williams single handedly took care of us throughout our time on the icefields, always with a mind to safety and capabilities of all participants. Our experiences on the icefields will be forever engraved in our minds

My team of four hired Icefield Discovery for a drop/pickup on the King Trench of Mt. Logan. Every ski plane operation in AK and CA needs to take a page out of icefield's book. Professional, skilled, and affordable. An exemplary outfit. You will not be disappointed!

What an absolutely incredible experience. We took the Mount Logan up close tour, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we went on the right in our schedule, and it was absolutely perfect!!

If you have never felt totally insignificant in your life, this tour is for you.

And a special shout out to our Pilot and Guide Rafael, who knew that we were having so much fun he threw in an extra landing at the end.

Yukon is a vast, rugged, remote landscape that is beyond description. You can drive the highways, hike some trails, or even float a river or two, but in doing so most people will only experience a fraction of the more accessible areas. To really get a feel for the immenseness of the Yukon, my wife and I chartered a two-hour flight with Icefield Discovery Tours. We were very specific in what we wanted to see; the landscape of Kluane National Park and the area north to the White River.

Weeks before the tour, I had emailed Icefield Discovery the locations I wanted to fly over. Arriving at the airfield we were met by Sian. I explained to Sian that we were a bit nervous about flying in a small plane, having never done that before. Sian introduced us to Surpaul, the pilot, and gave us rundown on Surpaul’s experience. They also showed us the flight patterned that we would be flying. Sian and Surpaul showed us the plane that we would be flying in and showed us the safety features. That was enough to convince us we were in good hands. From the takeoff to the landing, we felt comfortable and safe. It was a beautiful day for flying. And Surpaul showed us some amazing sites and told us about history and discoveries of the region. The flight was well worth the price and as we reflect on our trip to Yukon, Icefield Discovery was our favorite experience.
