Delicious Chinese and western food at Island Inn - a must visit! Affordable pricing across the menu. I am so happy we found this restaurant.

The owners were welcoming and asked relevant questions about our journey.

Preparation time was faster than expected and the portion size was generous. The restaurant was clean, and although indoor dining is closed, felt comfortable.

Had their deep fried wontons, curried pork rice noodle, and garlic ribs and everything was super good and got a lot for the price in my opinion.

We really enjoy eating here when we are in town. Not sure I would say it is authentic Chinese food but it definitely is delicious. Highly recommend the mushroom fried rice 👌. Staff are very nice. You honestly can't go wrong.

The food actually tasted really good, but we were incredibly disappointed by the lack of meat in our dishes.

We wanted beef and snow peas, and they didn't have snow peas, so we got beef and broccoli - no problem. However, the dish was almost entirely broccoli with literally a couple of pieces of meat in it.

We also ordered another dish, which was supposed to have seasonal vegetables and shrimp. Again, it was almost entirely broccoli with just a few chunks of meat.

We were so disappointed when we got the containers home and opened them. It was literally our rice dish, the noodle dish, and three containers made up of almost only broccoli. The flavour was great, but we definitely paid a lot to eat three containers of almost only broccoli with sauce.

We aren't from Bow Island but were visiting family who wanted to treat us to a take out meal. We were all disappointed. We each ate maybe 4 or 5 small pieces of meat each.

I have been in town for business for a couple of weeks, and I have already eaten here 3 or 4 times. I have enjoyed each of my meals.
In reading some of the negative reviews, I just don't get it. My experience has been very positive. I have received what I ordered, and the quantity was more than I could eat. The fiod has been quite tasty and the qualiry of preparation is good. I have enjoyed everything I ordered, including the spring rolls, wonton soup, and all 4 of the combo specials. The owners are very pleasant, and I have had some great conversations with them. The premises are clean, and it feels like an authentic Chinese restaurant. I am from Toronto and I have been disappointed by Chinese takeaway more than once but not here at the Island Inn Restaurant. Feel confident to dine here if you are staying in Biw Island or even if you are just passing through town as it is an easy 2 minute detour from the main road. 😀

Words do not justify the food here. This small and unassuming restaurant makes one of the most authentic chinese food I have had in the area . We came as a party of 4 and we were seated right away . We had the lunch buffet and I would highly recommend it. The selection of food is great and they even serve pizza for that friend who doesn't have the taste for Chinese food. I will be back .

The Island Inn hosted Charlie Miller's Artillery Dinner and we were not disappointed!! Food was excellent, staff was awesome and all had a fantastic time!! Can't wait to try you out on our own!!!
