I worked for Jebco between 2016 and 2022. I enjoyed the different projects that I was involved in. Being a custom shop meant that you never got bored and quality was key. I was paid fairly and never felt unsafe. Due to an existing medical condition I have retired, but would work there tomorrow if I could.

Horrible company. Notice that they are always hiring? Thats because they don't keep guys after three months. I was told that after three months I would get a review, and when I asked my supervisor, he 'literally' laughed at me.

I have been a welder fitter for many years, have much knowledge about Barrie welding companies, and most are fairly good. However, Jebco is considered by all the absolute bottom of the bucket.

I guarantee all of these reviews are by the PR trying desperately to find guys to staff their positions.

We also welded with Chromium Carbide without being told how dangerous it is, nor were we allowed to open the bay doors to circulate clean air. I guarantee I have lost years of my life from working there and being exposed to the substance. I am currently considering suing for being ill advised and ill equiped with the proper ventilation and PPE.

I tried to be as objective as I could in writing this review, and here it is.

I came to jebco in 2011. Coming from a structural steel shop. And having taken the CWB courses at secica. When I started my position I was only capable of welding single pass welds in straight lines, wasn't much of a welder. When I decided to leave jebco (for my own reasons), I had many different tickets for C.W.B and T.S.S.A, A.S.M.E. pipe and plate tickets. This wasn't from being babied and being comfortable. It came from getting put in positions that make you uncomfortable. It comes from someone pushing you not cause they want to bully you or harass you. Cause they see what you have done and know what your capable of. Jebco was the best company I have ever worked for. They made me the welder I am today. I learned more there in 3 years then I have ever learned in any other shop. They have a team of hard working men and women who are given extremely difficult tasks and manage to pull threw and complete every day. They do invest in their employees. I was given full training for overhead crane , forklift, fall arrest, working in confined space. All my tickets paid for. And given a job box full of tools for myself. Also a decent benefit package. The management takes care of their men. Dinners and BBQs on long weekends and holidays. Gifts at Christmas. When working long hours or threw weekends the owner Bret had gone out and got everyone dinner and joined the workers.
The floor supervisor Doug is very knowledgeable in this trade. And he had worked with me on many different occasions to improve my skills. From having cleaner looking fillet welds to learning how to use rollers, positions. Robotic arms, manipulators, track welders and other automated weld process. I was also taught different weld processes in stainless steel and aluminum.

All in all I would highly recommend working here or purchasing products from Jebco Industries. Great quality product. Great people to work for. I have been got for 4 years and still miss welding on the big projects they had.

I worked there for a while and its definitely not a place I would recommend. Its a revolving door.
Upper management makes promises they don't keep to employees and customers.
There was some extremely smart people but most left in a short period of time.
I find it interesting that 2 glowing reviews have no comments. I wonder who wrote these?

Horrible company. I got a job at jebco just earlier this week and today (friday) i was literally thrown out of the building by Doug Miller (manager) for notifying managment about a flaw in the product. Jebco does not inspect the quality of their product properly, employees told me that the company would rather send the faulty product and let the consumer deal with the problems. If you are looking for quality product do not go here!
