This is a great little Thrift Shop tucked on 51st Street in Athabasca. Always lots of parking available nearby and other great businesses on this street are Van Hout Bakery, Ken's Confectionery and Blue Lagoon Computers.

Lolly Pop Thrift Shop gives back to the Athabasca community through sponsoring local Children's groups, so it is great knowing your donations help the local community.

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon in the beginning of September and was excited to see the displays up to date with the fall decor out and looking so lovely. Even spotted a piece of local Athabasca Clay pottery in the display.

Also enjoyed one of the last few days to enjoy the flowers and stopped to give Patchy a pet of congratulations for being the September 2023 Employee of the Month. Great job Patchy!

Walking up to Lollipops front door, we were greeted by patchy, who was very excited as we also had a dog with us. Sherry came out, and the dogs met for the first time, before suggesting they play in the back area which is completely fenced in! We stood outside and spoke with sherry and her son Michael for about 10 minutes, before being invited through the back door into the store, where we were taken behind the scenes to the sorting and laundry areas, this was great to see, as in chain thrift stores you can’t expect things to always be washed. However in this store, every item is hand cleaned, sorted, and priced with care and precision, especially considering the cleanliness and organization of the space itself. We spent 2 hours in the store, staying until closing looking through the gems that sherry and her family have in lollipop, and even while trying on the clothing, we could still smell the fresh laundry detergent!

Patchy is a great employee of the month and the dogs were allowed to play off leash around the store, and made sure the dogs had water and treats. Sherry was so welcoming, and we chatted about our travels, her story, and the history of lollipop itself. Moreover, within the store had a list of other thrift stores in the area listed on the wall, a local business supporting other local businesses!

We have been in many thrift stores over the course of our 2 month canada tour, and lollipop has by far been the best, not only does the store have some incredible gems, but the hospitality and energy are phenomenal as well! Thank you Sherry, patchy, and lollipop for having us, if we ever find ourselves in Athabasca again, this is our first stop!

I generally hate second-hand shopping, but his is my favourite clothing store anywhere! There's always new stock. It's clean and organized. Of course, the prices are unbeatable! Every time I stop in I walk away with a whole new wardrobe!

Awesome the staff are friendly and helpful the store is a delight. The clothes are all sized and have very reasonable prices. You are met at the door by patches the dog.
