Georgio forgot the afternoon appointment HE made with me in the morning, then blamed me as I don't have a cell phone, however he didn't even try to contact me until after the receptionist at Thrive texted him 20 min after the appt. He let me wait an hour before showing up, was arrogant and rude. He also wanted to keep it for a week claiming he had to open it up to see what battery was needed, and order one. When I asked if I could bring it back after the battery was ordered as I need it he said he needed to hold on to it. Big red flag, they know what battery is needed it is right on the about this mac info on your computer they don't need to open it up, I knew this!!!. It says right on his website that he does batteries while you wait. As I left with my computer he said "say hi to (my husband's name)." Not entirely sure why. After so many lies I wasn't able to trust him with my computer. I am sure he has lots of business and won't miss mine, my husband's or anyone who asks me, as after reading other reviewers who had similar experiences this is a common practice for him.

Hands down, the best service ever! I needed a battery replaced in my MacBook Air and I could not be without my computer. Done and done in 15 minutes while I waited. Cheerful, happy, professional service with lots of smiles! I made the error of first going to the official Mac Store by appointment yesterday. They didn't even have batteries in stock! Then, they said they would let me know when a battery arrived. I could come back and leave my laptop for 3 days for them install one. Are you kidding? I called MacMechanic from their service counter, arranged to go over today at 2, and I am so very glad I did. I'll be back anytime I need help! Thanks MacMechanic team!

Georgio was quick with his response, and was able to fix my problem, and when it was an easier fix than first quoted, he adjusted his price to much less. Very much appreciated. I highly recommend.

I was very surprised to have a response to my request so quickly. I brought my computer and the staff was very nice and reassuring that I would hear from the owner soon. She was correct with in 48 hours I spoke to the gentleman. Then much to my surprise I received a text saying that my computer was ready to be picked up. When I did pick it up they turned it on to show me that the worked recommended was done and the computer was working . I left knowing that my computer was in great shape and I could phone any time if I had any questions. I would recommend MacMechanic to anyone who has an Apple problem.

I am sorry to say about macmechanic that guy who has fixed my mac his name was Georgia he wasn't know how to deal with customer very rode and didn't tell me exact problem and even didn't explain me what part he replaced. Time frame wise also very late he took 4 days to fix simple problem . He more focused on his charges, so please if you are taking your apple computer talk to them and ask them price because he fixed my mac before letting me know .
If you find other tech its better to go with them.

I brought in my daughter’s 2012 MacBook because the keyboard was malfunctioning. I can’t speak to the owner’s technical expertise but he declared that the keyboard needed to be replaced at a cost of $300 without even trying to type something on it and observe the problem.

I explained to him that my daughter needed the machine to study at home that evening and for the next few days for upcoming tests and that I could bring it in 3 days later to get the repair done. He proceeded to accuse me of playing games and telling me that I was lying about my daughter needing her computer ?!? He also tried to pressure me into leaving her mac right away and pick it up in the morning which also didn’t work for us and then continued to insult me because I refused.

Clearly, his prediction of me not getting the repair done with him was self-fulfilling because I would never do business which such an obnoxious and unprofessional individual. I’m a Professional Electrical Engineer / Executive with over 25 years of experience dealing with hundreds of suppliers large and small, and I have never been treated this poorly by anyone in the technical service industry.

Being in need of an alternative, I contacted Apple Expert Calgary who actually have a store, are very polite and courteous, and are able to replace the keyboard for $250 if needed because they actually troubleshoot the machine and confirm the problem before providing a free estimate. Well worth the extra 20 min. drive.
