I recently attended a seminar by Don De Los Santos, Business Start-Up Session on June 3, 2015. As a new business owner, so many questions on my mind. Don did a great job explaining the different aspects in a clear and logical manner. He helped us prioritize what needed to be done based on our individual businesses which left me feeling confident in the next steps. Don is also very knowledgeable about business set up. This especially came across in different exceptions to consider and I got more detailed information than what I got more other sources, including paid services. I would highly recommend this session to anyone who needs to get clarity on how to get set up.

I had the opportunity to attend 3 of the free business seminars that they offer and they were all extremely informative and helpful! Both Don and Tiffany were eager to help with any questions that were asked and provided many resources to obtain further information with. If you are thinking about starting a business do consider signing up for a seminar or two to get yourself started!

I have attended 4 seminars and Social Enterprise program through MSBC. I find them extremely helpful in my endeavor of creating an Enterprise. Great staff who are responsive and keen in guiding with their answers, giving recommendations on my next steps and pointing in the right direction. I feel supported on my journey. I am happy I attended The Business Planning session conducted by Tiffany. Gained a lot of info how to tailor make my business plan plus got good practical tips from her on the resources, like government websites and other seminars available. I understand due to time constraint that it was not as interactive as I expected, i.e. no chance to do written exercises, but it was still worth my while since I can consult with her afterwards re questions and review of my written business plan.

The MSBC staff and seminars have been extremely helpful. I've had the pleasure of participating in three different business seminars (so far) with both Don and Tiffany. Very informative session on business planning done by Tiffany Mak! She provided lots of applicable, practical advice on how to go about starting a business and significant aspects that I had not previously considered, as well as solid online resources and connections.
