Here’s the write up with the Birch syrup: While in Whitehorse, we decided to play tourist and check out the shops along Main Street. It’s a fun stroll with a mix of souvenir stores, locally owned boutiques, outdoor gear shops, galleries, and small restaurants and coffee spots. We wandered in and out of a few places looking at T-shirts and gifts, but Midnight Sun Emporium stood out as the best stop for quality souvenir shopping. They had a great selection of “touristy stuff,” from shirts and hats to locally made products and food items. One display caught our eye—it featured Canadian syrups and something we’d never seen before: birch syrup. The friendly young woman working there explained the differences. Birch syrup isn’t as sweet as maple and has a more complex flavor. They carried three varieties in color-coded bottles, and she walked us through how each was best used—one for pancakes, the others more for cooking and baking. We ended up picking up the pancake one. After checking out the rest of the street, we circled back and picked up a T-shirt and sweatshirt too. They even gave us a big reusable shopping bag with the store’s name on it—handy and a nice touch. Definitely worth a stop if you’re souvenir hunting in Whitehorse!

After extensively exploring different stores for souvenirs in and around Whitehorse, I've concluded that this is the best store to find something as a tourist looking to bring back something that appears local or representative of Yukon. Price are either on par or slightly less than other stores for the same products. Shelves seem well-stocked. I doubt locals would find anything useful here but as a visitor, I definitely appreciate kitsch.

We visited this place in Main Street for buying souvenirs of Yukon. They have a decent collection of fridge magnets, handmade jewellery, candles , tshirts etc at affordable price. We bought local hot chocolates, and fridge magnets. The staff were very helpful.

Loads of unusual gifts. Great place to buy the perfect gift for your pot head friend. Stop in and take a selfie with the moose if nothing else. They have lots of different candies, t-shirt designs, pins, and other souvenirs of Whitehorse.

I am originally from Toronto area, and came up to Whitehorse to see family around Thanksgiving. I came by this store, and loved all the items in their store, so much so that I called to see if they can do an online order for me and ship it to Ontario! They are making a Christmas gift on my list happen all the way across the country!

Their customer service is 10 *'s and they are so wonderful to deal with ! Thank you so much for going the extra mile and I will be a customer for a lifetime now ! Bravo on a fabulous job 👏👌😊

There are so many different things to buy here! And many of the products are worthwhile memorabilia of the Yukon, instead of tackly urban gift shop stuff. I especially liked the selection of food-related local products, such as jams, coffee, and small treats. The shopkeepers/staff members are, as with most other people I've met during my Yukon trip, friendly, cheerful and helpful. I wanted to buy haskap berry sauce and they didn't have it, and the staff even suggested I look at one of stores down the road, although I didn't have enough time to find out because I had to head to the airport. Good gift shop experience!
