Called in for support because mail was not setting up as expected on a new computer. I just wanted to confirm the settings or maybe get them to walk me through setup. He seemed pretty clueless about how Outlook works and wanted me to actually give him information on its layout. When I asked if he could at least confirm the mail settings, the response was "I'm sure they're right if they're on the website". Then tell me what YOU have so I can confirm it. Overall, the guy was pretty rude, talked over me to the point I had to mention it, and made it feel like he had better things to be doing, instead of helping a customer that helps to pay their cheque. I wish I got his name, but it was about 8:20, Jan 22, if that helps whoever reads these.

First bad review I've had to leave in years but I don't want good people to end up doing business with this toxic company. They are incompetent and malicious to say the least. How they are still operating is genuinely shocking to me. Do yourself a favour and get your service from literally anyone else, it's not even close to being worth the trouble.

I have awesome fibre service out to the middle of nowhere, a pleasant surprise when I moved here last year. After retiring from the IT industry, I am grateful they are NOT Bell, Rogers or Cogeco. You call them, you talk to a local warm body, not a call center in Bangalore.

Customer service has gone completely downhill in the last few years. During the outage last May - June they charged me for Internet even though there was no service for a month and I specifically said I was cancelling because of no service. They provided no updates as to when service might be restored. When I objected to the charge they said I should have specified that I didn't want to pay for the time I had no service! As if I needed to say that!!

This company use to be so good, but we had to call cause our net was so slow when it shouldn't have been and we called to see and get the correct speed we were told our speed was set lower by mistake so we were paying for the higher one when we were getting the lowest package didn't even get the difference back then when we went to cancel cause we were moving they tried to say we were using it for months after we had already moved it was a good company until you want to cancel your services or complain about anything one of their representatives even hung up on us they never call back when left multiple messages... I would never want to deal with them again. Sucks cause like I said use to be a really good company.

The two main things I look for in an internet service provider are speed and reliability. That's all I really care about because my business is online. As long as I have speed and reliability, I don't mind paying more because I'm generating income.

Buying internet from Nexicom is like buying an appliance from Dollarama. It's going to be cheap, but it's not going to work long or well.

Our internet goes down several times a year and it's very slow. I've delivered late work to key clients on a number of occasions when I come down to visit for the holidays. I simply cannot work when I visit family in Peterborough because of your internet service.

It's stressful and unnecessary. You need to find a way to be faster and more reliable because this is bonkers.

Your customer service representatives on the other hand are amazing and always sincerely apologetic about your network problems which is not even their fault. I feel bad for them because I know they get the short end of the stick for your highly unreliable service.

They're the only provider for the Selwyn/Lakefield area and they know it. 10MBS internet is the highest they have offered for years, and in reality runs at around 2.3mbs, drops often, is almost unusable during prime hours.. it's essentially dial up 2.0 (Often find myself with 500KBS download speeds)

Unlimited bandwidth is the saving grace, but let's not act like this isn't an archaic idea anyways. In town bundles that easily run a 1gig/s are similarly priced.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone in the area unless they decide to upgrade the towers soon.

If you can find an unlimited alternative, do it.
