One of the best hikes if you are in Lake Superior Provincial Park. Its a loop hike should take about 2 hrs if you hike non stop please factor in the breaks. Start your hike from the right side so you first do longer hike and see the back side before the main lookout on the front side.

Great hike with stunning views of Old Woman Bay. Definitely challenging, but not too long. My group went clockwise around the loop rather than the direction the signs point, which results in getting a very steep hike up over with at the start, then a nice slow descent back down. The other way would be a long uphill hike, then a tough downward climb. The section of trail made of loose cobbles is tough on the ankles, supportive boots would be best to wear. Took my group about 4 hours, but that was with lots of breaks to enjoy the views, eat lunch, and a slow pace. Seems quite doable in 2-3.

This is an amazingly beautiful trail to hike. It’s quite steep in some areas, so I can’t say it’s easy, but the views are worth the effort. The rock outcrops give great views of the bay, and the forest is gorgeous. I would definitely advise caution if the trail is wet though; some areas could be dangerous if slippery. The views of the woods and lake make the effort worthwhile though. I cannot recommend this trail enough.

I am an average walker/hiker. So, in my opinion, I am rating the trail "moderate" difficulty. However, for experienced hikers, it should be easy. The trail had quite a few beautiful view points. There is one view point where you will be able to see the Old Woman's head. If you go to the beach area there is a board that say where to look. So, if you didn't look at the board, you're not going to be able to recognize it (you can see it in your pictures, if you took any:)). The walk took me about 4 hrs even when pausing a lot because the hill is steep. I recommend not to bring any food because they say there is a high chance you could see a fox or bear. I didn't, though. However, it's good to be careful and cautious about it. Anyway, it's a good trail and a you must try it! Stay safe guys!

Nice views on this loop trail. It takes time, so good hiking shoes are a must. Easier to hike counterclockwise. It took us almost 3 hours. If short on time, go clockwise to the first lookout and return. Be ready to climb rock 'stairs.' Small dogs might need a bit of help. Nice view, highly recommend

This is a great trail, but not for those out for a casual stroll. Wear good boots or shoes and bring water and snacks. It took us (two 60+ novice hikers) about 3 hrs and we wished we had hiking poles. Wonderful payoff with great views at the top

Fabulous trail, I’ve driven past this spot a few times and am SO GLAD we stopped for a hike a swim. Yes swimming in Superior on September 25, it was fab! The trail had great views, perfect mix of ecotones.
Trail conditions: nice and dry, roots, rocks, beauty at every step.
